I never planned on pruning during my first grow. I had not read much up on it. However, as my plants are growing low and bushy, there are a lot of "hidden" leaves and branches that aren't getting light and are taking up energy that could be spent on other parts of the plant.

These 2 are about a month old. Is it ok to trim the very small under branches, or am I better off leaving everything alone? This is my first grow and I can never keep my hands off things, so I thought it best to ask. I have read Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Grower's Handbook and can't find my answer there. What do you guys think about these plants? I have been hoping that they would magically start growing upwards, but that hasn't happened. I am eager to see what they'll do when I Flower them.
My other question is related to my sad third plant. She has not grown as lush as the other 2, all from the same batch of THC Bomb seeds that I ordered. She never grew as quickly as the other 2 from the very beginning. I fed her the same mixed nutrients when I began with nutrients between week 2 and 3, however at about half strength for the small plant as the others. Last week, I noticed a couple leaves were turning brown, I thought it was either nutrient burn or I had spilled some nutrient/water on the leaves during watering. So I switched to water only. The leaves have continued to have brown spotting that grows, and they are drooping. I tried clipping the brown tips but that hasn't done anything. I'm thinking of tossing her but I don't want to do that either before asking for any suggestions. Pic below.
