This is driving me nuts!! Garage cabinet grow....6' wide, 2' deep and 8' tall split in half across the middle. Veg on top, flower below. Air exchange between the two level's and I just "rolled" the flowering lights so they are on 7PM to 7AM to help with heat at night.
Upper is 7AM to 1 AM, so there is an "overlap" when ALL the lights are on. I had to add a radiant heater below for heat before I "rolled" the flower lights 12 hours to a 7PM start so I could use the heat being generated.

So now the lower supplies heat to the upper from 1AM to 7AM, and the upper supplies the lower from 7AM to 7PM. Seems to be holding 64 degree's in the lower
while those lights are off, but is 79 degree's above....More "exchange" needed I guess. What a pain in the ass!
I have 5 fans going....Inlet fan below, Fan to push air to the upper, fan on the plants in the upper, a fan to pull air from the top to the lower and an exhaust fan too.
Anyway....temp range below for flowering runs from 64-84. Veg Above runs 75-85 with a few spikes near 90 and I am going nuts trying to balance it all out.
Shooting for that 70-80 degree stability but it's driving me nuts.
Am I being to anal about this? Relax and let it run?
Thanks for any input.

I just grew a plant from low 60s-70 and I didn't seem to have any problems besides the fact it was a male.

You mentioned that you have a fan to pull air from upper to the lower. Is that recycled air? I think that fan may be unnecessary. If you have exhaust on top, and intake on the bottom of both chambers, then you should not need to recycle that air. It may work best for you to remove that fan and try to get the air from both the lower and upper chambers circulating towards the very top of the total cabinet, where it can be exhausted.

Well, the reason for pulling air from the upper to the lower level is to get heat to the lower during the period 7AM to 7PM when the lights are off below. Otherwise I have to add a heater, (again) and the reason I "flip/flopped" the lighting below was to alway's have at least one level with lights on.
Otherwise there was a 6 hour period when ALL lights were off. Too damn difficult and confusing....4 timer's, 5 fan's and a whole lotta headache!
