Sorry for the probably stupid question, but I'm a technician at an emergency vet hospital and while we see pot toxicities all the time (btw just tell the doc so we can move on and treat your pet, we won't call the cops or anything) sometimes when we make a pet vomit it doesn't smell like marijuana. I'm just wondering if kief or anything doesn't have a smell. All I've ever smoked is bud in a pipe or vape so I don't know.
Thank you :)

Yup, kief reeks... The reason why it does smell after vomiting is that by the time the animal gets to the hospital the active ingredients have already been absorbed. Many types of chemicals, acids and gases will extract the active ingredients in a relatively short time. The doc can use the term toxicities, but we'll just say by the time the animal gets to you THEY ARE STONED!!!!! So, when you make an animal vomit they are basically vomiting Grass. Vomit for nothing and their kief for free. lol

please dont let you animals eat your stash, this is a bad very bad habit. especially your kief :)
anyway for people who want to save money, just let the dog og animal sleep it off, it has to eat a whole lot of weed to OD from this, and sleeping it of will cure the animal, just like yourself, nobody needs a doctor after eating cannabis, they at most need a bed or couch.

I've probably treated 600 to 800 pot tox and while most could have freaked out for a while and then chilled for a few hours without medical attention, there was one 80vlb lab who ate enough butter to actually put himself in a coma for 4 days. That dog would have died without iv fluids, and life support..... Trip to the vet might cost a couple bucks but is better safe than sorry. Like you said, just don't let them get in your stash in the first place.
