What sorts of veggies do you have growing as well? :) Just curious! Also, will you send everything in the tent into the flower cycle with the cannabis plants, or do you have a separate growing space for that?

I've got, tomatoes, califlour, hot peppers, squash, beets, dill, arugula, swiss chard,romain, greens, spinach & more peppers. These are all going out side in a garden and also in an outdoor green house. If you go into my profile photo album, i think there might be some outdoor garden shots.

The cannabis will be flowered in another area. An idea did occur to flower in the the clone tent with a SCROG, using the built in shelving. could be kind of cool. still debating the idea.

originally I set up the growlabs tent as my sprout house to propagate the gardens on a regular basis
outside i have 3 8ftx4ft raised cedar planters, 2 12x14ft raised brick planters & greenhouse (forget the size) prob like 7x14ft

thinking possibly to SCROG with the Purple Rec, which is now on the right side. Using the shelf as the scrog screen....as they will be hitting the screen soon.

Scrog can be cool, I only recently started doing it, ( first one) and really the idea only came from the height restraints in my room. ( in an attic)... I'm sure it's worth a try for you.... I wouldn't use shelves though because its gets really thick and woven into your screen(shelves), assuming you veg and weave and tuck long enuf. I wouldn't use chicken wire like I am doing now. It's too small and it's gonna be a bitch to harvest. Also if you scrog, I am learning, don't do different strains of ganja under one single screen, ( as I'm now doing, lol). Different harvest times, (and growth rates/type) with different plants under a single screen is not ideal. Instead I wanna do individual screens for each plant, or group of same plants maybe... Food for thought if u do do a screen of green...

I guess I should have said the reason I wouldn't use the shelve is I can imagine having to yank buds through the shelve that are grown into it and then your mashing them all up...

well the shelf I have is actually built into the tent, its a wire shelf/metal. (homebox CloneLab/short one) it has decent space in between the wire, appears to be perfect for a scrog.

im curious as to how tall do you let the plants get before tucking under the screen, do you top of FIM
how high to put the screen. ect. Lights. I was thinking maybe to get an LED light, ive read so many different things so who knows guess I will just do it and find out

I don't fim I top and top twice, then lst to spread out branches till they grow into the screen.
The screen can be higher or lower ( to the top of your pots) based on your room height and how long do you wanna veg for. Seems like 12-16" above pots may be a good guide. Important to remember that just because u have a screen your not scrogging, the screen can just be a structural support. To really scrog you must tuck and weave and force the plant to grow horizontally continuing into flower, 1-3 weeks maybe depending on strain, then the magic happens and you have an even canopy and lots of big colas. I like flowering under either only metal halide ( if u think sounds weird ill explain) or even better MH and HPS. Mixed spectrum is good. No experience here with led's

yea exactly, well a few of my guys are about to hit the shelf. I may just skip the scrog and throw them in the flower room. I'm thinking I need way more space for a scrog with this many plants.

update almost week 8 from seed. (7 & 5days) :thumbsup:

skipping the scrog idea, (not enough screen space). So its back to SOG.
Purple Wrec's hit the shelf in the sprout house, moved them into the flower chamber

started to cut the nitrogen out of their diet, and feeding EB stone Bloom Booster 0-10-10, first feeding today. then 3days from now I will be switching to 12/12
oh yea some pre flowers showed up.
also harvested some outcrossed home brew seeds, White Dream + Maui Berry . should be interesting.

all CFL's 24,000-30,000 lumen around 240-320w ...."they just work" :thumbsup:

24w bulbs are the best, they spit out the most usable lumen, my rig holds 8 then I have some added around the sides

I built my own reflector & cfl housing, I basically measured everything to get the best possible position on the lights & reflector for my space

this is at around 4-5 weeks of 12/12 I got delayed by 1.5 months, dang oh well so much for an XMASS harvest

got kind of crammed so I trimmed up a bit, & put a few outside & destroyed some weaklings
2 week of flower stage they all got a 0-12-12 feeding
4.5 week they all got a dose of MOAB 0-52-32 NPK (today)

now I sit for 4 weeks and watch an explosion of beautiful flowers :rasta:

and the tomatoes are about 5-6 feet tall (outside in a greenhouse). Ill try to get some pics later.

Niiice! Should be finished the cure around my birthday, valentines day! Mine won't be that far then, but I'm sure I'll snip a couple & fast dry on my day. They should have plenty of clear trichromes around that time, but not ripe. But even though, what better BD present could there be compared to smoking your own buds!

CO, you're not the only one to flower under the blue spectrum now a days. Many find cooler lighting gives tighter, more compact buds. I don't switch to warm till around the last 3 wks, & that's just to pump up the trichromes. Works great! ;)

From what I can gather, red wavelengths are important for flowering primarily because the plant uses red light to "time" the dark/light cycle. Even MH contains red red light, albeit at much lower levels than HPS, but there may be enough to trigger the time-keeping, yet provide blue waves to enhance physical growth.

haha well if it matters lol.. im flowering with both spectrums. was thinking of adding a UV tube, sort of like what calilightworks solar flare does. we shall see.

this was done in 1 watering. well 2 watering's to be specific, one at 15 days of 12/12, which normally promotes more bud sites if you've vegged with lots of internodes.
then 2-3 weeks later I hit them with a really high PK, this usually makes the glands sweat resin
I will do one more feeding a few weeks before harvest, same as the last with a super high PK. then when I go to harvest, I stop and wait another 1-2 weeks. and not feed it anything nor water it.

just soil! put the seed right into some, Miracle Grow SEED starting soil, which is mostly peat moss & Nutrients, then put them into my Clone Lab grow test, aka sprout house

I also planted more veggies, all the veggie trays except for spinach are full.

Anyhow, these last 4 plants in the flower room, were the survivors of Powdery Mildew, which is why you are seeing no large fan leaves. these ones did not contract it as bad so I trimmed them up and just flat out tossed the parts with the mildew. I tried ways to kill it, but it would only stun the growth & spread of it. quite interesting actually.

I had a friend bring me some clones out of the middle of nowhere (thought he was cool). I'm like great. thanks! well well and behold he had no idea wtf he was doing. he basically dumped me a pile of shit. First it was bugs, which I got rid of, then the mildew. I actually noticed some white spots on 1 plant he brought and didn't think of it at the time. ( I even got a nice pic of it, lol.) then I went out of town for 2 weeks. so ya these plants have been thru a lot.

for any growers out there, don't take in Orphans! to mix in your grow. keep it IN HOUSE from seed or clone your own!
many times ive bought veggies from nurseries and same crap, diseased bug laden plants. (this is the whole reason I started my sprout house)

anyway. Ive never grown any of these strains before, so. this actually gave me a ton of perspective on how these strains grow.. and new seedlings on the way. and a few less stops to the weed shop to get meds.

current strains are:

og diesel (also have a male about to pop)
og kush (fat one in greenhouse) which this one is herming I may rape the pollen, not sure yet
skywalker og (mildew, harvested popcorn buds, left the bottom portion, looks like its gona hermie)

Yes growdemon my girlfriend teases me because I'm so paranoid about ANYTHING getting in my grow rooms from the outside. She calls my setup "Fort Knox". Taking in someone else's plants is a big risk, obviously. I was just visiting a friend who has a closet grow and she was showing me her plants proudly and to my horror I saw several kinds of mildew, damping off, whiteflies, fungus gnats, and sharply drooping, oddly chlorotic leaves. She had a humidifier and a CO2 generator in there but no air exchange except a tiny fan hanging from the ceiling. She asked me if i wanted one of her clones. I politely declined.

Chromophore---I hear ya.. my case was a bit different. A Friend drove about 80 miles, without me knowing and just dumped about 8 plants & clones on me then left, gee thanks! I didn't want to be a complete Dik.

But anyhow.. I'm looking forward to my new seeds and getting back on my perpetual grow cycle!

ok moved some stuff around, threw a few outside & grabbed the BUSH monster from the green house and put it in the flower room.

I also dosed up the BUsh Monster with MOAB 0-52-32 NPK, pretty heavy. Lets see what happens!! It hasn't received any enhanced nutes at all. Originally this guy was all Organic until today.. I figured I'd throw some science at it.

well thank OMB 6 years of growing all kinds of things has definitely payed off. I figured I would share my experience, experiments, tests and failures on these forums... so far no failures. well actually once with Brussel Sprouts & Broccoli. got a handle on those now! :)

next im looking into building a daisy cloner, I already have the parts. just need to decide on a pump and either air stone or water spray. or maybe both. Not sure yet

I chopped down some of the purple wreck (curing now) 2 tops weighed in at 35g wet, its firkin dense, sticky & super gooey & does not smell like weed, dang thing smells like a fruit bowl.

The out door stuff is still curing

actually catbuds, I been meaning to ask you a few things, what's the best way to store seeds & when is the best window to pollenate a female plant. I've tried a few different timing and it seems its sort of up in the air.. so I have no clue. I have a few cool strains of a Hydbrid I made from MauiWaui & Blueberry F1 seeds. I would like to outcross it and spread the strain more. WauiBerry! lol

I also found a box with a little container the other day full of old seeds from about 7 years ago! wonder if they will work........only 1 way to find out! prob not but ill throw them outside and see if they make it
