Took a pre employment drug test on Tuesday at labcorp.

Smoked casually for 2 months, nothing heavy, a joint or two but mostly a couple hits of a bowl.

Stopped smoking for a week or 2, and took a small resin hit and then stopped smoking entirely.

Went on vacation, drank heavily and ate fatty foods with out care.

Took an at home test Friday before test, passed but with faint lines. Drank heavily over weekend and ate more fatty foods.

Night before test drank heavily and ate steak, barely slept that night and continued to drink lots of water.

On the day of test, drank half of a 32 oz of Gatorade and veggie patty sandwich. Took another at home test, which I passed with a faint but evident line.

Finished rest of Gatorade, took some sips of water and went on my way.

While waiting I felt like I was going to piss my pants. Went in unsupervised, pissed a bit into bowl, then cup, then finished in bowl. It was yellow, just like it was for my at home test.

Think I passed? No one has called me yet, hr nor MRO.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Here is the process in which a drug screen goes through before you get the results.
LabCorp has two different drug screen types they do, DOT and Non-DOT. Depending on the requirements of the job you applied for would decide which one you took - a rule of thumb, if you initialed 2 bottles - you got what is called a 'split drug screen' and can be done as a DOT.
The unfortuante part - LabCorp is also one of the few labs that performs zero tolerance drug screens - 0 nangrams of THC allowed. These can ONLY be performed on Non-DOT, and generally you are informed of this type of screen. Many states also have drug policies in that make these zero tolerance test illegal, and they rarely hold up in court if you choose to fight the result.
On a regular drug screen you are allowed 49 nangrams in your system to account for second hand smoke - 50 nanograms and you are reported as positve.

So you pissed in the cup, brought it out, the tech checked the temp. Asked you to fill out and sign some forms, then initial the labels ON THE BOTTLE. any of these steps done out of order will negate the testing ( i used to be a DOT drug Screen trainer as well as Breath Alcohol trainer). Technical error can almost always be found, whether with the tech asking you to sign the form BEFORE you pissed in the cup - to asking you to sign the initials on the paper rather than on the bottle.

You should have seen the bottles sealed, intialed that you witnessed this on the bottle, seen the tech fold the paper, stick it in the bag with the bottles in a separate compartment and seal the bag, depending on the company policy you may have intialed the bag as well.

Then you went to the desk to get more forms. Meanwhile you piss was thrown in a basket for LabCorp to pick up that afternoon and put on it s way to the lab. Depending on where you are in relation to the lab it may have been a fed x plane trip or simply a ride across town.

It get taken in at the lab and the paper is scanned with the bottles to make sure the numbers match. If 2 bottles were sealed bottle 'B" goes into the freezer, bottle A' goes to the lab. Each bottle has a copy of the paperwork with it.

The lab technician get the bundle, scans it once again before breaking the seal to make sure the paperwork matches the bottle. He runs the test and gets a result printed from the machine. Negatives go straight to the MRO ( medical review officer , must be a trained physician in addiction medicine), the staff within the MRO's office fax copies of negatives to companies- usually within 48 hours of the test. Positives get re-sealed, sent to another lab - tested by another tech and another machine.

If it remaines positive then it could take the MRO up to 1 week to get the results. The MRO must now call yout o make sure there is no reason for a false positive or prescriotion drugs that you are on and can verify you are on that could make this test a positive. This is the point you want to remember all of those technicalities that I mentioned before....if these are brought up the MRO may cancel the test right there giving you the opportunity to re-test. It really depends on how many times he has been in court and lost due to a tech's error. You also have a right under DOT, and some state laws to ask that bottle B be tested- however federal law states you have to pay for this testing, and they make it quite expensive.

After the MRO - the results go to the company. Pre- employment, you may or may not hear from them if it is positive. Post accident and random are different stories though.

Look on your copy of the paper work, in the upper left hand corner there should be the name of a doctor, address and phone number should also be there - call them, ask them where the testing is in progress.

Good luck and remember next time you want to LOSE fat! not gain it, those carb diets that burn the fat off once you use up your reslerves are really fast.
