Hey everyone! first post here and just wanted to kinda introduce my self and layout my plans. This post will touch on alot of topics that should probably go in several forums but lets see how it goes.

First off I'm a 30 year old male and I haven't smoked in probably 12 years due to work. I still work and I still get tested but I miss getting medicated and I'm to the point where I'm ready to get creative. So I bought me a mflb because I think id rather vape for the cleaner aspect and the smell. I ordered some quick fix because I do get randoms. I plan on carrying it with me to work every day I guess. I could prolly hide it here if It becomes a pain. Good thing is I work in an office and should be fairly easy to get it warmed up with the microwave or sink. I hope it works out cause is rather keep my job, it seems easy enough but hard to tell without doing it. Things have changed so much in 12 years, I'm not sure if its cause I just smoked whatever back in the day and I research alot more now or what it is.

So am I off to a good start? I am open to advice from people who have been here and done this. I'm still in the early stages and plan on doing more research because I kinda enjoy the hunt so to say. Like I said I'm a complete noob so ill take any words of advice.

Oh I am also wanting to smoke because I have high anxiety and some PTSD. I really don't like the way prescription anxiety medicine makes me feel. Just thought is threw that in there, don't get me wrong i also like to just be high.

Welcome, MP3.

I'm new to this forum, getting reacquainted to indulging in the green, after a 25 year absense. I find MJ relaxes me, and helps me to sleep, and deal with pain from a torn rotator cuff.

Funny story. Myself and a companion were visiting southern CA recently, and found it beneficial in obtaining a medical MJ card while there. Visited several dispensaries in both the metro LA, and the Palm Springs areas, and was amazed at the quality product. Now back in NC, I find myself seeking out like-minded individuals, or considering growing for personal use. I think the more conservative southern states are at least 5 years behind CA, CO, and other states with regard to legalization and/or passing legislation related to medical MJ use, sadly.

Good luck in your journey!

You sure smoke is gonna help your anxiety?? I'd test them waters a bit first. I have "occasional" anxiety and panic attacks and I'm sad to say weed is certainly of no benefit there for me. In fact, it ramps up my anxiety 10 fold. Races my heart, makes my dizzy, and then panic sets in. Luckily, anxiety only rears it's ugly occasionally these day's. I'm a "new" old smoker myself. I loved it when I was young, but of course had to stop due to work. But after 16 years on the job I was laid off in June. Sucks, but it did open up the door for some good time's! I find I don't enjoy it near as much at the age of 44 as I did when I was 24. But I still like it lol.

Hey OMG glad you responded, I had quit checking this site cause really no one replies. Funny you say it didn't help your anxiety because I learned a tough lesson on this shortly after making this post. I found that if I smoke a little bit like say the bowl of a one hitter it does great, I feel good and relaxed. BUT if I smoke a lot at once say passing a cigar sized blunt between three people (a lot for me) it becomes a terrible time. My anxiety went thru the roof and the high just wouldn't pass fast enough. So there is a very fine line for me between helping and hurting.

Hey you two. A lot depends on strain (look at online seed bank, most have descriptions of the kind of high, such as Couch Lock). Couch lock is what you want to lower anxiety & help you sleep, also relive pain such as arthritis, nerve damage & muscle spasams. When the bud was harvested is the next thing to look at. Harvest while bud is still young, trichromes clear, will you give you a more energised high, & raise anxiety if you're prone to it. Mature bud, some milky trichromes, some amber, gives you the kind of high you two would appreciate, mellow & relaxing. The fact neither have u have smoked for a while is also partly to blame, so take it slow & work on finding where your limit lies. Go online, & from the seed banks descriptions, make yourselves list of what you like. Then when you're ready for your next purchase you'll know what to look for. Hope this helps :)
