I just put one of the females I flowered from seed back into veg for keeping a mother plant. It has a few buds kind of started. Some white pistils on plant. The question is when I take cutting now for clones what is going to happen with those pistils. Do I have to trim all those small start of bud formations and pistils off when I try and take cuttings for clones? Or are they ok to keep on for cloning and then restarting the garden?

The pistils will turn brown & fall off, the calax will grow into a deformed sort of leaf, the new leaves will be deformed for a few sets up, how many sets depend on a lot of different things, variety & lighting mainly. The plant will branch out more than you'd ever expect if you've never seen this done before. Be patient. Wait untill the new growth looks normal before you start taking cuttings. It will go from curled deformed things to a single leaflet, then to a 3 leaflet leaf. Dont take cuttings before this happens. How fast this happens depends, it varies from plant to plant, strain & growing conditions. Time & patience my friend. Once you see how many cutting one re-veged momma produces, you'll be doing this forever!
Don't trim anything off! The plant needs this for the process of photosynthesis. As I said, they will grow into funky little deformed leaves.
You know how to clone? If not, just ask. Those of us who do will be more than happy to help. That's what we're all about, sharing experiences & learning from each other. GROWING TOGETHER IN MORE THAN ONE WAY! Happy tokin' my friend. :-)

Haven't seen a new post from you. It should be about time to take your cuttings. With optimum growing conditions, you should be seeing your first bunch of leaves showing 3 leaflets. Take your cuttings close to main stem, strip off lower deformed leaves, dip in rooting hormone (many out there, garden supply if you don't want to wait on mail order), place your growing medium in styro cups (I don't like peat pots. Even tho pH corrected, pH drops over time slowing down growth), press soil down, use pencil to make planting hole depth equal to stem length from bottom of stem to bottom leaf, place in hole, press down. Water gently so as not to loosen cuttings contact with soil. Place under fluorescent light (8-10" untill rooted, then 6-8" till growth is established). After this, place in you r grow room & treat the same as your first grow. Easier in practice than it appears in print. After the first time, easy as pie. (Forgot to mention, 18-24hrs light, just like seeds). A quote from Rob Zombies Halloween 2.... 'Now go have some fun!'
PEACE!

P.S. to last post.
Cuttings need humidity & to be draft free. I do this with a 30 gal fish tank. A 4' 40 watt fluorescent shoplight fixture will sit on top perfectly (2 grow light tubes). If you need to raise clones to have them 8-10" from the light, use inverted flower pots, butter tubs, whatever it takes to make it work. Keep tank clean! Otherwise, this will become perfect growth enviornment for all sorts of plant pathogens. If you see fungus/disease, remove from tank, provide fresh air & post for help. Someone will be glad to come to your aid.

Actually miss read date on your post. Thought it was an Aug post. You haven't had time for any re-growth yet.. you won't need the previous info for about four weeks or so, again, depending on growing conditions. Also, you said you put her back in veg. That DOES mean you put her under 18-24 hrs light right? Otherwise, no re-growth, she will continue to try & bud...... Sorry bout the date goof, my bad.
