NEED SOME INFO ON LIGHTING Watts?

I been member here long time been sometime since i grew anything inside & as i have noticed alot has changed on lighting that i used back in 2006.I got a space around 6x7 & 7 1/2 foot high in back room i can use to grow in,but im looking at lights & i can't figure which way to go yet thought maybe i could get some help in here.I have like 15 female seeds i was going to grow outdoors this year & well didnt get it done lol.I'd like to grow say 6 of them in 5 gal buckets i know soil and fox farm nukes i'm going to use,but i mainly want to know what size light to buy.I use the 430 watt horflux hps back when i grew last indoors & it did ok for around 4 plants.So i thought i'd go with the 2 bulb system this time & my question is is the 600 watt big enough for the 6 plants or do i need to go with the 1000 watt.As far as space i think i'm good & i have a ventilation fan that will draw out the heat,also i can even pump in cool air to it.I have always got good advice in here so anything you can share be most appreciated.

Tend to use the equipment I have, and purchase when opportunity occurs. Maybe add to you have. Think about what to do to improve the space too.

I had a problem reading the post so I kind of skimmed it over, sorry.

Wasn't there a very similar thread recently about how much product from how many watts in a certain area and how long a veg time? I remember that.

Basically i'm starting a new grow here because all kids gone now & i have a lot space to myself.I sold old hps light i had back few years ago & i got space to grow more but i just like to have around 6 females growing but i was not sure where to buy a 1000 watt or the 600 watt 2 bulb system.I measured it again yesterday & i can put 6 in this space easy with alot room for them to grow.As it stands i got the space like 6x6 & i have plenty of height so when i spend the $ i was looking for the best lighting system. THX FOR INFO

yut, 1000W or 2x 600W huh...
I run one or two 400 watt in a 5' x 4' or less space (space is expandable to larger). I also have a (4) 4' T5HO luminaire which I use in seedling stage, early veg and later as supplemental side lighting. I find having the wattage flexible suits the grow better. Which one, my 1016 watt set up or a single 1000 watt? There are times when the 1000 W is the answer. If you can afford to have the supplemental lighting, and different watt sized lamps to swap around, or space for grow and Bloom then all the answers change.
