So I figured I would start a log as I am keeping one in my comp. book but figured I would share it for any other noobs who are just starting out. I'm at work now, but off in a few hours so I can throw up some pix. Currently in week 6 or 7 of grow will be more specific in a little bit.
Just some basic info for right now till I get home to load up pix.
I sprouted 12 seeds in a wet paper towel 98% sprout in 24 hrs. These were sprouted in a paper towel in a bag taped to the window. This worked great!! The others came up in the next 12 hrs. 3 weeks into grow I started #13 via soil sowing.
Right now my entire grow is cfl. It contains 4x t8 4ftx2bulb at 32 watts a bulb, and 4-5 supplemental cfl spirals. Most lights are at 6500k, with the exception of 2 10k lights( are these 10k lights even beneficial to my garden?)
I'm growing in soil. A mix of potting soil with perlite and vermiculite, top soil with perlite and sand and straight perlite mix in as well.( no pre nuted soil) this is all organic.
My nutes are from general hydroponics/ general organics. I started my nutes with the flora series just the grow bottle. Then upgraded to the general organics go box which contains the entire nute kit from seed to harvest.
Plants were started in 6 inch pots and now live in 5 gal buckets, most plants had two transplants. 6 in pots- 3 gal pots - 5 gal buckets.
