First Grow - Bagseed - Outdoors UK

Hey guys im new here and I am currently growing outdoors in the UK (North) my baby is 4 weeks 5 days from placement outside (5 weeks from sprout) when the conditions were very good (Direct sun almost all day for about 1 1/2 weeks) - This is a bagseed grow from a bag of no name green which was around slightly better than mids (My area for some distance gets pretty poor weed, Ive lost about £300+ over the past 2 years on bags of leaf,sprayed, schwag. This is why I am growing, power to the people :rasta:

Outdoor conditions range from a low of 50 F at nights to 72-73 F during the day, averagely about 65 F during the day and 55 F at night. She (hopefully) is in a 15L pot with BioBizz Light Mix (perlite) and the pot is filled with about 12L I have only fed her with Levington Tomorite at 1/4 strength 2 weeks ago and a few days ago with just over 1/2 strength, no nute burn yet :D water is around pH 6 -7 (Chinese Universal Indicator pH strips) and a few drops of distilled malt vinegar (clear) also she does get rained on here and there but they are usually light showers. During the first 3 weeks I used a hanging basket (metal square shaped so light can enter) covered with clingfilm with 2 small gaps at opposite sides for a bit of airflow, I used it at night to help my plants from the cold, insects and those god damn slugs but now it is too small so i let the pot sit in it which acts like a platform allowing air movement around the bottom of the pot. My question to the more experienced is how does she look for the conditions she is in? if there are any tips you guys could give me I guarantee they will be appreciated :smokin:

Also I FIMmed her about 4 days ago, maybe not the best but she has been concentrating on filling out since which is a good thing for security reasons.

Also one last thing are these thrips? they look like the grating thing they do on leaves and what about that hole? There are a few leaves with some minute holes and a few bites.

Ph down is actually easy to get and cheap, so well worth the minimal investment. I bought my bottle I think for 6 quid from a local hydroponics guy.

Plants look great- not stretched out considering growing on natural sunlight in north uk, nodes look close together.
I am new to this myself, so wait for advice on the holes and bites on the leaves.

Also if you're spending so much time on her, I'd think nute investment would be worth it. Tomorite is that big red bottle of tomato fert right?
I started mine very budget, but have been upgrading because I'm realising how much fun this is.

Here is a easy solution to a slug issue.

Wrap steel wool around either the pot or the base of the plant. Steel wool will cut the slug like razor wire would cut you. No more slug issue.

for slugs, also some beer in a low profile cup will attract them suckers and melt them, they cant resist beer. it'll also kill dirt flies & other flies.

the holes on your leaf, im going to say, catapillers. i found a few on my basil, & bluberry bush the other day, also attacked my beets in a greenhouse. dont know how to rid of them except to catch them.
and man o man them catapillers can chomp!!
slugs are hard to catch they do their dirty work at night. I havnt seen a slug actually damage a cannabis plant, they moreless just leave a sticky goo on your leaves, they dont chomp it..
oh yea.. crickets!! & grasshoppers chop bad too. solution. let your neighborhood cat know you have some crickets, hoppin around. usually the ones ive seen eating cannabis are little baby green crickets. hard to see them.
one reason i went indoors. too many bugs outside.. :O

yeah il do that definitely there are so many other insects hopefully itl drown some of the munchers:)

It must be the caterpillers doing haha but i inspect her well and can't see them, they attack when im gone :( yeah what a coincidence my area has shitloads of em and there the smaller green ones! i have cats so il get them to munch the hoppers:D thanks for the tips pal.

Also I tyed her down from the 2nd node from the top last night gently caressing and slowly bending her stem over then stuck a swiss army knife into the earth below the pot and attached the string on it, she had drooping leaves yesterday and the soil about 4 inches in was not dry dry but didnt make your finger moist/ dryed in when i removed my finger so i gave her a little water (rained today a little) and her leaves have reacted to the tie down by orientating towards the light including the stem so i will again tie down other branches/ fan leaves to maximise light penetration. Lastly on a cloudy day is it really going to damage my plant? i mean when i look at the sky it makes me squint like fuck and she looks good too:) maybe because she was raised on natural light?

Hey guys back with an update, good news shes a girl, its hard to tell in the pics but there are pistles coming out of the calyxes all over her:) feeding 2ml bio-grow and 1ml bloom every week and water during the week with tap water allowed to sit out + I added mycorrhizal fungi:) shes looking nice but why are some lower leaves yellowing and dying?
