Noobie growin

well im a noobie at growin, just started growin it under my bed, this is my set up, well firsti planted my germinated seeds in this indoor soil(preety good) and put in a pot 8 inches in diamerter. I placed it in a laundry basket probably 2 feet tall, and i placed a ordinary office lamp to shine on it. I also coverd the laundry basket, due to the fact i live with a cousin of mine who seems the type of person that prohibits everything related to drugs. Do you guyz think its possible for my fruits to grow? Is it possible for the plants to still grow even though the air in the laundry box is minimal and contained? Guyz have any ideas?

office lamp= worst shit possible. your plant will never produce budz like that. get some good lights, fluoro, bulbs, metal halide or hps. you need also timer so you can have your light cycle for veg and flowering periods (18/6 and 12/12). you also need a fan for good air circulation.

plus, if your cousin is against drugs, he will notice for sure the smell or anything and its 99% sure he will discover your plant. get a good light and a good grow box or grow outside man beleive me office lights are shit

You're pretty screwed with that setup. Normal bulbs don't do anything. At least you're going to need a couple (more like 4 - 10) 24" flororescents, which will do the trick. Not the best, but not the worst. A regular bulb (incadescent.. I don't care how much it says it's for "growing plants") is totally worthless. If you don't believe me, just keep your eyes on the plant, and watch it die from lack of light in a few days.

The smell from plants is powerful, and will be noticed. You cannot get around this one, unless you are crazy stealth ninja about it. It means you can do it, provided you grow in a room that vents somewhere your cousin NEVER goes to, or you have a pretty rad filter setup, and is still vented somewhere your cousin NEVER goes to.

Much better for you, in my opinion, would be to plant it somewhere that no one goes to outside, and then follow the advice on outdoor growing.

Seriously man... with your current setup, the plant is a corpse in a manner of days, and if you buy different lights, you're a corpse when your brother finds out because of the smell ( I wont even get into the fact that hiding a six foot tall plant is slightly difficult).

well, yea i was guessing someone was gonna say that. and i was expecting my plant to die. Its been only been 5 days and with the set up ive told you guyz, the plant looks fine(well it looks like it). If possible i ll post up pictures sometime soon. its been sprouting for the last 5 days and the their about 3 inches tall. ANd by what you said, you mean that if i still continue, ill have a plant with no buds at all?
