So 2 days ago I took a leg hair drug test. I am really worried. I used to smoke everyday for about 5years before stopping in about June 2011 ( so thats a little over 2 years). I am so worried because they took a sample from my hairy legs. Should I be worried or am I just trippin? Please let me know. I haven't gotten a call from the MRO yet or my employer. Let me know what you think because I really need this job.

From the research I have done you should be fine however, with hair nothing seems to be absolute! cc

If the MRO were to call me back, how long would it take?

24 hours if negative 48 to 72 if positive but remember prescription meds can effect this time frame.

It's been 72 hours now from when I took the test. I haven'g gotten a call, so I'm assuming that's a good thing. Can I call the MRO office and ask when the results will be processed so that I can start working?

I will defer that question to Burnt Toast because I am not sure of how that could work for or against you. cc

Dont call the MRO. Instead, give your employer a call and ask for your "start date". The employers response there should tell you whether youre good to go, or if the employer had moved on to the next candidate for hire.
Never inquire about the drug test results. That will only serve to raise suspicious eyebrows. A person who doesnt use drugs would never do this because it is a non-issue.
If you already have a start date secured, just show up for work and carry on your duties with the "I dont use drugs, therefore my drug test is a non-issue" mindset.

Burnt...that's what I was thinkin too, but the anxiety is killin me. A start date was set already prior to the test. I'm about to worry myself to death. I was confident going into the test because I know I havent done anything in over 2 years, but now Im freakin out.

Dont let that get the best of you. You already have a start date. Just show up for work and play it cool as if nothing ever happened. If you dont ever hear anything from anyone, then consider it good news. No one will typically inform you of a negative result because a person is expected to be "clean".

ok...almost sigh of relief....if the testing lab says that the results are submitted to the employer and the employer gave me a notice that says that for any "non-negative", I would get a call from the mro, am i good to go? I still won't be all the way calm until i get confirmation from the company, but this should be a sign that Im good, right? I know I might be paranoid right now, but just keep it straight and real with me? thanks.
