hi all. I have a few plants I started from clones. they are starting to bud, should I be clipping off the big green leaves off the plants or let them stay on to collect the sunlight. so many different answers. they are alll outside plants, natural sunlight thanks

I personally pull a few off if they are shading buds stopping light getting thru.
but a lot o peeps will say you shouldn't.

The way I understand it is if they are yellowing or dying you should pull or cut those. Reason being is that the plant will still try to push water and nutes to those leaves which in turn takes away from the rest of the plant that is still healthy. As far as the green ones that are shading the flower sights that would be a judgement call on you. I do know that the big fan leaves help the plant with photosinthisis. Hope this was helpful for you. Happy growing!!

From what I hear, you don't want to take off more than 50 percent. As all ready mentioned, try to take the leaves covering the flowering areas. Good luck.

I never pull any leaves off, especially outdoors.

Those leaves are where the plant gets its energy so the more it has the more it can produce........tuck em out of the way and grow big.
