so today i called the department of water and power to turn on the power for my new place, but since it zoned in the business side they asked a shit load of question. long sorry short the guy on the phone was asking me what i would be running, i didnt want to tell him i would be running 4 x 1000w lights to grow herb duh. so the quickest thing that came to mind i said i was having a 2 or 3 ton a/c installed. he quickly said that would be to much power as i only have a 110v 1 phase meter. he said i would need a 3 phase.
actual equipment i would be running would be
4 x1000w with a titan or cap controller
24,000 btu split a/c for flower
12,000 portable a/c for veg and living space
600w mh
a couple of can fans
and wall mount fans
so for those of you who understand what the guy said on the phone, can you please tell me in stoner terminology.
will i be able to run this equipment?
is this an easy fix my electrician can do?

are you sure he said 110 volt? The normal minimum electrical service for a residence would be 100 amp 240 volt, if it was installed in the last 40 years. That would let you run your total load of approximately 70 amps. at 240 volts. If you actually only have a two wire 110 volt service and it would need a 200 amps, and I've NEVER seen such an installation.

The company man was only right.
And no, it's not something your local electrician can "fix".
However, If your grow is not installed yet, the power company can probably upgrade your sevice.
Ask him what it might cost.

the first 2 pictures are a 240V breaker box.
The main breakers look like 100 amp service with 6. 20 amp circuits.
The third picture is a 110v single phase ancient POC.
If it's yours, you do not want to grow there.
The 4th is a phone terminal box.
Sorry fo' makin' you sad brah, but I calls 'em da way I sees 'em. :)

so, this is 'your new place'. What is it, exactly? An office space? I can't make much from the photos and your descriptions. It's hard to say if you have enough to do a grow. If indeed all you have is the fuse box in the third photo then you got nothing to work with

Costco sells solar panels.
That, and a quiet generator for the evening supplemental might get ya through.
You'll need one helluva yield to break even though.
Feelin' any less sad?
Good luck,

here's the quick and best answer. Call an electrical contractor and tell 'em your opening a spa with (4) 1000 watt tanning booths, etc, etc. and see if you have enough capacity. If no, ask him or her what you need to do. We can't tell you anything from those fuzzy, dark photos of nothing, let alone know if it's 'connected' or not. So very, very sorry. Now I'm sad too.

Howzit, Shove?
There ya go, gettin' all pragmatic.
It's the best advice.
But it's got no pizzaz!
Now, if you were to purchase a used volvo, rip out the engine, rig a series of pulleys to 10 alternators, then run the 120V DC through an inverter . . .
Much mo' fun than doing it right, yah?
Jus' trin' to cheer a brudder up. :D

Call him.
He should be able to tell you from the wire ga. on your service entry.
