HOUSTON -- There's been a swift response from the U.S. Army following an exclusive 11 News Defenders investigation into allegations recruiters are going too far to sign up new soldiers.

Late Tuesday afternoon, 11 News confirmed the U.S. Army will now call for a nationwide stand-down of all recruiting efforts in what a spokesperson at the Pentagon calls a serious step at self-examination.

Sgt. Thomas Kelt refused to comment on any of the questions asked by 11 News Defenders.

The Army will set aside a full day on May 20 as the day to have every recruiter across
America review Army recruiting policies and standards. It's an effort to stop overly aggressive recruiting tactics.

The announcement comes just one day after the 11 News Defenders exposed a Houston Army recruiter threatening to arrest a local young man if he didn't report that day to the army recruiting station.

Sgt. Thomas Kelt left this message on that young man's cell phone: "Hey Chris, this is Sgt. Kelt with the Army man. I think we got disconnected. Okay, I know you were on your cell probably and just had a bad connection or something like that. I know you didn't hang up on me. Anyway, by federal law you got an appointment with me at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Greenspoint Mall, okay? That's the Greenspoint Mall Army Recruiting Station at 2 o'clock. You fail to appear and we'll have a warrant. Okay? So give me a call back."

We asked Sgt. Kelt in to comment.

Sgt. Kelt: "I'm not at liberty to comment.

Reporter: "But that's your own voice?"

Sgt. Kelt: "I'm not at liberty to say."

Army recruiters across America will take a day off, foucusing on what KHOU News uncovered in Houston in an effort to reinforce recruitment integrity.

KHOU was told "stand-downs like this are typically only done when the military experiences an increase in accidents or other systemic problems."

Not to mention here in NY the advertisements to join the NYPD read off like exactly like the Armed Forces advertisements.(like its some kind of boiler plate, with only the "organization" name changed)

I dont think there is a coincidence here, those advertisements are geared at recruiting a certain type of person.

It scares me that the NYPD is trying to recruit them as well.

Couple that with the Mayors backing of the Police Department to have control over actual terrorist attacks. After an attack you need to contain the damage. you need to put out fires and help the injured...

Police dont do either of those things so why would they be in charge of the aftermath?

Not to mention that these tactics could very well be used to discount the recruiting system its self as a reason to institute the draft.

I think these guys are takeing a day off to get briefed on how to handle angry crowds as a results of a draft, and how to proccess them once they start getting drafted.

They openly tell you they are going to change recruiting policy and they are going to take a day.... a single day... to evalute how recruting is done.

Dont you think they did their research before laying out millions to advertise for recruitment?

They know what brings people into the military, money. Watch for a draft to be instituted, and then it will go away after the decline of our economy, you simply wont need it anymore because it will basically be the only job to be had.

As the world Bank buys our public assets you will see the decline in our economy, its happening around the world. Again, History.

When our economy depresses, we will have no choice but to look at our GOV as our means of survival. We will be putting our children in the military in record numbers because you wont be able to support them. I offer Germany as my example.


Once into the military they are subject to nonstop patriotic slogans, and so called "republican" views will be their constant enviroment. And it will not be the popular view to oppose the GOV I promise you that. This happens even today. I spent 4 years in that enviroment.

In effect brainwashing them from whatever they were taught or beleive, to a single ideal set up and orchestrated by the same people takeing over the world. I offer the SS as my example.

Wow history is depressing.

Depression I know for a fact is a by product of long term fear. If your are afraid enough to be depressed dont worry the GOV will hook you up with some pills to help cure that depression. Thus creating a cycle of dependecy on eachother. I offer the current trend in drugging our youth and GOV Pharms as my example. This IS a form of suppression.

See, you as an Adult may be able to withstand the fear campaighn and the depression that comes with it. But your children get their character traits from you. Since you are subject to the fear and depression and sub consciusly your body defends itself from it by disassociation by useing ignorance. Often comes in the vocal form of "I dont care".

What comes of this is your children learn YOUR disassociation techniches to not care as well. Not to mention they pick up all sorts of other traits that cause them to lets say act up in class, which these days in school thats grounds for Ritilin.

And there we have it, it comes full circle by the addiction of our youth on GOV Pharms. By giveing them a pill instead of dealing with the issues putting them into this enviroment, you are giveing them a life long crutch to lean on, so they never have to deal with the depression from the constant fear campaighn.

I also will offer up the possibilty that, the UN is the world GOV, that we as the American people will ask them to come in and save us from our own countries GOV. After the decline of our economy and depression has set in and its a full on Police State it will either be an economical reason or it will fly under the banner of "freedom" that we ask the UN to take the final step in creating a facist world wide state. we will ask them to overthrow the US GOV. To seemily save us from ourselves.

Ill also offer up for consideration that maybe we can learn about what our GOV is doing by actually LISTENING to what these so called "Terrorists" have to say.

Basically by flying a flag of morality and "family values" our GOV has effectively combined religion with politics, seeing as the "family values" way of thinking is largely based on religion. And then by claiming our whole way of life includeing our "family values" are at stake by the "terrorist" threats. This directly puts our enemies fight on religiuos terms. And indirectly puts it on those terms for us as well.

Then by useing the image of some tin pot terrorist in a cave they give a direct face to the religiuos community in the US of who to blame.

I am not religiuos, so i dont buy into the holy war, but it is without a doubt being used as a pawn in world affairs.
