Drug Test (Pre-Emp) taken one week ago, heard nothing yet...

Hello, first time poster here...

I took a pre-employment drug test for Best Buy last Tuesday. At the collection center they said my sample was headed to LabCorp at the end of the day, and that Best Buy would have the results within 2-3 business days max. Haven't gotten the dreaded MRO call (BB policy says positive tests get MRO call), but nor has BB contacted me with a start date for orientation.

It's now on business day #5 - does this mean that my test likely came up negative and now BB is stalling for time until they can do orientation for multiple new hires? I think I'm going to call BB this afternoon and ask for my orientation date.

Wait one more day then call in to see if they are still interested in you. It's better to wait it out than call the lab

After 5 working days, calling up the employer and "reassuring" the start date/orientation date is a wise move. The employers response there would shed light on whether youre good to go, or if the employer had moved on to the next candidate for hire.

Just dont bring up the subject of drug testing to the employer.

And the results? We'd probably get a more reliable baseline if more people posted what their intake was, what home measurements they used, test preparation methods, and the results of the lab testing...just saying.
