hello everyone, what I'd like to share here, (with hope of some friendly helpful input) is my grow cabinet work in progress. I hope to have a start to finish log when the dresser is completed, which should be within the next few days. so first off I'll explain the cabinet. I plan on using 8 CFL bulbs in the veg side (left side) and a 175 watt metal halide for the flower space ( right side). I have two air circulation devices, the bottom PVC pipe has a 50mm CPU fan blowing in fresh air from outside and will act as the positive airflow. The positive airflow will cone from the bottom off the cabinet and is shared with both the veg and the flower portions of the cabinet. I have drilled about 18 holes for the fresh air to come through. for the exhaust I have used the same method, except the exhaust pipe will be on top of the grow space pushing the hot used air outside.I have painted the inside of the cabinet white and there is a dividing wall directly in the middle of the dresser. the top portion of the dresser will be the housing for all of the electrical components. here are some pictures of what I have completed so far more on the way. any input is greatly appreciated!

alright guys today I pretty much finished up. I added hinges to all the dresser drawer fronts so they all open like a door.I also added latches so they all stay shut. I hung the veg side light ballast with adjustable chains for length convenience. I hooked up the metal halide light fixture and ballast on the flowering compartment too. some things I still have left include the following: add circulation fans, use white caulking to seal any light from escaping, add weather stripping to front drawers also to prevent light from escaping, and add holes to fit pots on the bottom of the dresser so the plants have more room to grow. here's some pictures of what I all got done with today. how do you guys think I'm doing??

Sweet, always wanted to build one but find myself sidetracked! Guess I'm lucky cuz me closet produces the same effect. Tick tock, tick tock..... summer Solstice down the block. veggies bearing fruit, life is good. Everything written here is 100% fact. Luv the disclaimer!

thanks mal420xl! estaban I was the same way I just came upon a few extra $ and decided to put it to good use, got some supplies and got it finished in a couple days... So anyways about the ventilation, what do you guys think about the set up? do you think this will be a sufficient amount of fresh air circulation? keep in mind I'll be putting additional circulation fans inside both compartments to keep the air moving around/ fake the wind ect..:rastasmoke:
