Not really sure where to start here so i'll just introduce myself, my name's jay, from the united kingdom 22 years of age! started smoking at about 16 and it turned into a daily habit of over 4 grams daily for the past 5 years along with 15 cigarettes daily along with 2 cans of red bull, it was like a religion. about 12 weeks ago now i was smoking with the same friend i've been smoking with over the past 5 years, it was late about 1am, we had finished smoking our herb and decided to call it a night, seem him out the front door, ran upstairs lit a cigarette at my window as soon as i took my first inhale i got tunnel vision that quickly turned into no vision at all next thing my legs went from under me, couldn't hold my own weight and my ears were ringing, i fell onto my sofa and regained my vision and decided to run into my mothers room and pretty much leaned on the bed and collapsed unconscious, i didn't fit or anything like that i was conscious within 5 seconds according to my mother it was just like i'd been woken up after sleeping, i forgot about that and continued smoking and it happened again 7 days later, i'd been the doctors the same day because i had a dull ache in my scrotum and wasn't happy with the diagnosis i was given which was fine according to the doc so whilst smoking with a friend i ran downstairs to get us both a drink but asked my mother to book me an appointment to the doc's to get checked out again, she said she would, walked past her into the kitchen then boom my vision went tunnel again, i knew what was happening so i ran back to my mum and sat in the chair next to her and told her i was going to faint, i kept my vision but remember hearing a whoosing sound, asif i could hear the blood being pumped around my body, then suddently started to burn up, i tried to take my jumper off but i didn't have the power to do that and fell unconscious during the process, my mother woke me and i was apparently saying "what the fuck are you doing" but i do remember it happening, i've been the hospital for blood tests, a brain scan and a 24 hour ecg scan and nothing has come back, i've got a echocardiogram and a tilt test left to do, i think the tilt test is a load of bullshit so i'm skipping that out, basically i don't smoke, haven't smoked for over 12 weeks now or touched any red bull, i've put weight on, i never actually realised but my diet was poor whilst smoking weed but anyways has anyone else had an experience like this? i don't have any desire to smoke ciggarettes anymore but i'd love to be able to have a joint, i had one about 2 weeks after i fainted, although i didn't faint my heart beat was rapid and i felt really uncomfortable, which i put down to the anxiety and stress of fainting but i'm still not sure, any advice would be really appreciated

my husband had a bad accident a few years ago - long story short, he was thrown from his motorcycle & landed on his head & punctured both lungs.

he had 3 or 4 occasions when he was up & about again where he would smoke, start to cough & lose all his vision - went completely blind for a minute or two.
needless to say, it was scared the crap out of him. we still don't know exactly what happened, but have to guess it was neurological.

yours sounds much worse - if i were you, i'd take a long break from smoking anything & give up the red bulls permanently.
maybe after a year of taking good care of yourself (if the docs don't find an actual problem) try a joint again - but don't mix it with cigarettes & red bull so you know it's the joint if you have the same reaction.

good luck - i'd feel stressed too

thanks for the post, To this day i still don't have a clue what it was, adding up my intake food and liquid wise, i used to take in under a 1000 calories a day and drink nothing apart from 2 red bulls a day, i personally put it down to my diet although i'm no doctor.. i've been strugling with anxiety recently, get dead hot when i'm in public places etc..

check panic attacks if you're having a problem with anxiety - if you have one, it can do all kinds of things. some people think they're having a heart attack or even dying.

and you were probably seriously dehydrated which doesn't help anything.

my bet is it was a combination of things and the doctors will never find a thing.

if you think panic attacks, try some meditation or other natural methods - my son has terrible anxiety & the prescription method only leads to more problems
and, when you decide to smoke again, pick your weed carefully. some helps anxiety, some makes it much worse.

Oh, jeez. Sorry to hear about that, man. I guess if you're gonna keep smoking, you should eat something good for you and filling (maybe a light deli sandwich or some rice? Sorry, I have no clue) But it sounds like you were just taking too much at once and it really messed you up. Try to start eating healthier and drinking a lot of water. I hope you get back to a point where you can enjoy a good toke again without fear. :jointsmile:

Broheim, not your saviour but diet sucks (Red Bull is poison in a bottle). This combined with poor diet caused blackouts etc. don't need to be a physician to tell ya the problem & certainly don't wanna explain science behind this...... electrolyte balance visa vie "Krebs Cycle" etc. Throwing off Na/K by a few will certainly will cause those symptoms & guarantee if you stop the RB crappolla, eat normal food....... everything ire man. :pimp:

Dehydration plus low blood sugar would be my bet. That was my problem once, same symptoms. It can be hard to test for, because low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) is usually only occurring at the time of the symptoms. In my case, my blood presdure would drop at the same time, & boom! Out like a light. They found my problem due to good timing, I had an episode while in the middle of having the test run. Mine was caused by anorexia nervosa, sounds like your bad diet caused the same problems. Get healthy, exercise, do some deep breathing. Anxiety goes along with all this, so meditation along with the deep breathing. Substitute V-8 for that damned Red Bull. I personally don't think the pot had anything to do with this, but now is not a good time to alter your mind in anyway. Wait untill you're healthy again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PEACE!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~
Of coarse hoards of other deficiencies & what Este said, & when blood sugar & blood preasure bottom out at the same time, you WILL hit the floor unconscious.
Dehydration causes this all the time- that with the other factors of poor diet, tobacco use cutting down o2 intake and we must remember that the water travels with o2 in our bodies.
Low blood sugar can easily be treated by paying attention to what you eat- natural sugars only and always having some calories on your stomach- 5-8 small meals a day instead of 1-2 large meals a day.
Red Bulls not only dehydrate you- they fuck with all your chemichal balances, those within the body for homeostasis and those within the brain that allow us to 1. be able to place our selves within time and space and those that regulate and control mood, emotions and thoughts.
Hydrate, hydrate hydrate!
My ole time doctor daddy always said drink a gallon of water a day- if your still feeling bad make funeral arrangements. Adequete amounts of clean fluids daily go a long way to improve our health and our brain functions - the brain is 70% sugar water- dehydrate that and don't allow enough natural sugars to it and it will start to deteororate quickly, and cannibis can't really help you with that - but probably didn't cause these symptoms...
Oh yeah....the tilt test is important - it tells the physician how hydrated you are in the moment. You can do it yourself at home sort of. Lay down on the bed for a few minutes, then sit up quickly - at the doctors office they will take b/p and pulse at this time- if you get lightheaded or dizzy in any way you very dehydrated and need fluids!
Hey catbuds - I have lived through anorexia too....Thumbs up!
Do you ever have any issues with eating anymore? I have been on a 'normal' diet of eating at least once a day for about 5 years now and still have tons and tons of stomach issues. Acidy feeling, nausea and feeling like a rock is there. I am sure it is due to all the years of starving myself and I have found that my tincture works wonders quickly....just wondering others experiences...
I have 5 major digestive issues. I've attributed them to either the anorexia or my ex contaminating my water with heating oil. Its probably a little of both.
