View Full Version : Spindly Plants Too Late to Save?

I had my auto flowering plants in the woods but it was too shady and now they're 8-10 inches and spindly. About 1/4 of one plant broke off during transport.
Is it too late for them to produce if I put them in full sun? I think they're 2months old. They look pitiful. A complete waste.

probably easier to start over. autos want to start and finish in the same grow space....they arent big fans of transplanting. but maybe there are some shoots you can use as clones?

I thought autos couldn't be cloned?? Anyway, the Jack Herer is ok and now getting sun but its not bushy. The SAD is living too. Another plant broke so I put the break under soil. Maybe it will root!? I try to think of these as weeds, not babies that need TLC although I know that TLC would produce better results. My biggest problem is hiding everything from everyone.
I have another plant in the woods that needs to be moved. I also havereg fem that need to be planted somewhere but WHERE?? I think these plants will be super tall.

dunno bout cloning autos not sure what would prevent it but the whole concept of autos is a little weird to me anyway. whats the worst that can happen....it doesnt take? dont matter if they are gonna die does it.

Autos skip the veg stage and go straight to flower so no clone is what I've read. I planted 2autos and 2 reg femm seeds in a fields where they can get sun this time around. Trouble is they may be seen. The soil is black and moist so I'm going natural - no nutes. I'll just check them maybe once a week.

hmm yeah i guess you can clone them but the clone will still flower at the same time more or less as its mother so all youre really doing at that point is reducing your total harvest.
and dont you wish that mr bills proportions were ours!

Well...I planted some regular femised so maybe if they produce bigger than the autos, the proportion will be the same. I've never done this before.

My spindly auto flowering plants that were transplanted to a sunny location are still not bushy but I am starting to see small flowers develop. Even the one that broke during transport is trying to develop flowers. I have the plants cleverly disguised as honeysuckle! Even if I get just one bowl from them it's worth the effort.

oh my dankness!! I looked at my spindly plants today and it looks like the Afrodite is really making a come back. It's actually attempting to look like a bush. I have flowers!....and I can smell it....oh how sweet it is.... The others are trying to do the same but they are severely stunted.
So...I had another spindly one that broke so I tossed it in the garden and buried it. This one is tuff!! It sproted again appeats to be starting from scratch. ....just amazing...like a weed.
