Im starting a grow log not so much to show off my grow but more to receive advice and pointers by some more experienced growers. I have some experience growing mostly in coco and organic soil. I also have a little experience with hydro mostly drip and very little experience with bubbleponics. This grow is different than ones before as its only to provide myself and my room-mate with a constant supply of smoke. I have a large selection of quality bag seed that has proven to provide some strains of interest. Here are my current specs for this grow.
Strain: Multiple Bag Seed most seeds were taken from bags and effects of parent strain documented
Lighting:4*35 watt 6500k CFL 2*23 watt 5100k CFL 3*13watt 6500k CFL 1*13 watt 2700k CFL = 238 watts actual draw
Ventilation:box fan as exhaust
Medium: Organic mixture of Humus soil, fine grade coco pith, hydroton, alfalfa meal, and Biotone Starter Plus
Nutrients:Miracle Grow organic choice liquid concentrate, alfalfa meal, molasses, and Espoma Biotone Starter Plus
April 18 2013
Placed 15 bag seeds in a cup of 6 ph aquarium water and 11 sank after 18 hours
April 21 2013
placed ten of the healthiest seeds in fine grade coco
April 24 2013
removed 4 weak seedlings watered with aquarium water ph'd to 7
note:I observered the ph of water to be to high for coco and planned to change on next watering
April 26 2013
Feed 2 week old veg plant labeled as #1 with organic tea bubbled for 24 hours consisting of hunmus soil, molasses, and alfalfa meal
bottom fed 6 renmaining seedling with aquarium water ph'd to 5.5. with runoff having a ph of 7
April 28 2013
Unfortunetly #1 has developed root rot due to anaerobic bacteria lingering in a poorly drained container SO I cloned said plant and ended up with four clones placed in coco and watered with alfalfa tea and placed inside plastic container to control humidity with a coco mat underneath clones to provide constant moisture
Placed 15 more bagseed in tap water to soak overnight
5 of the seed were separated as the parents producing ideal effects
Aptil 29
Placed 14 seeds in paper towel to germ and placed vertically near hot water heater
April 30
Clones from #1 look good
first set of seedling are developing 2nd pair of leaves
planted 6 seedling in coco and water with de chlorinated water
May 1
Transplanted 2 of the the healthiest seedling into 1/2 gallon containers
May 3
removed two weak seedlings and added 4 seedlings
May 23
Huge gap in documentation
currently 3 plants in veg that are about 4 weeks old. Plants have been stripped of all branches other than four primary branches created by topping 2 plants and FIM ing another . Have 1 clone left from plant that died from root rot slowly forming new growth . 4 seedling about 2 weeks in age pretty average in apearance but one seedling from a seeded "LOUD" bud very interesting looking with rounded leaves instead of the typical pointy ones. Feed all plants with a tea of MGOC, mollases, alfalfa meal, and biotone.
