Tent is 5x10, located in out building(shop) no heat, no air, but is well shaded. Last grow interrupted by outbreak of powdery mildew. Wish to thank shovelhandle for advice on clean up, ready to try again now.

Tent is 5x10, have a manifold system above tent, using 6"axial to vent tent from top though light, second drop just does top of tent, have decided to scale back this grow due to problems of last. An just using one 1000hps, see what footprint is while maintaining spacing and air flow.

Two 8"fans mounted on ceiling, two 4"fans on floor, electric oil filled heater(maintaining 60deg minimum), have chemical dehumidifier on floor.

Loaded tent on tax day April 15, am going to try and produce grow log from saved data.

April 15 Loading the tent. Last grows have tried to increase plant numbers, to increase output. Last one met with failure so am changing strategy.

Picked 32 of the largest out of veg room, ranged in size from 8 to 14 inches, repotted into 2 gal pots. Used an organic mix of 2/3 old soil and 1/3 chopped alfalfa, is allowed to cook for a week, and is hot too touch.

32 placed in tent, smallest right under light, largest on the perimeter. Had room on floor for heater and floor fans.

Light set for 12/12, vent fan on timer, to limit run time and try and control temp..291610 first day

Week two, temps are low this week, slows stuff down.

Water- Trying to be stingy, trying to run dryer with more air flow to battle mold. Have tank to catch roof run off(no fish here) so soak a pillow case full of compost in it, instead of purchased nutrients.

Lights- Just using the one light, have run 2500w in tent, but trying to max eff. not output. The harder I push the more problems I seem to have. Venting though the light, which I like a lot.

The girls- 291619

Week 3- still cold and snowing! May 6 no way, way.

Need room so took out all floor equipment, moved outside tent. Allowed me to spread and reposition the girls. Smallest under light, largest are furthest away.

Water with compost tea, still just a drink, still stingy.

Cross your fingers-- 291620 Just keep spreading to fill space, smelling!!

Day 29 -- All have slowed in growth, but all are showing nicely. Believe they're young ladies now, would hate for some male to show up. Staying with compost tea, once a week. Rotate a plant, move one, have picked half a dozen lowest fan leaves cause they didn't look right, but this is the slow time --cuties. 291627

I'm very sorry some terrible at computer upkeep, but such is life, believe rate spoke to this. Anyway, now day 53, still liking good at least to me. Would say love just been watering and turning and picking a poor leaf. But a lot of the work of the grow is occurring outside of the tent, getting ready for next one.

Have cloned new batch, potted and repotted, so I have my n next 32, waiting in the greenhouse(spring-lights out). For the room to open up. Have at least one more week of veg.. Getting new dirt ready, the compost pile, it all plays a part.

Tent plants now average 16-20 inches 292057 292058

Smell really good

Black box my tent. Am NO photographer for sure. Took an average one outside. Said, wife please help me, she took pity. After lecturer on "what are you doing!" Had something you could quesstavaluate. Think I'm ready to harvest, but usually kick myself the morning after.

To address the question;

Depends on what you expect out of her.

If you chop now, it will be uppity and ethereal.
Good thinking weed.

If you delay another week or so.
It will get stonger, but "heavier".

I'd say, take a sacrificial limb now and start it drying.
Leave the rest for a while.
Take less than 10% and the plant barely notices.

Edit:
Oh, wait, that advice is for one plant.

Buncha plants?
Stagger your harvest. :)

I know I want to try a top. And that will put a couple more days on. Maybe 1/2 the crop goes to tears, in the same boat cancer wise. So far real happy. But could it be better, with more time? Also have 6 Canadian ladies in there that need at least another week. Thanks for the help!!

Then, definitely stagger the harvest.

I made "day tears", and "night tears", because I had to function during the day.

And, I'm here to tell you that the tears work.
Because I'm still here to tell you that. :D
I know exactly how it feels the first time you hear that word, from your doctor.

Yesterday is the past, learn and release
Tomorrow, is the future, direct your dreaming.

But today?
Today is right now!
We live here.
It's all we are really given, that's why it's called the present.

If you need any assistance with extraction methods, etc., no be shy.
Complete strangers put their asses on the line to help me.

Took 4 tops today. Picked ones I thought were furthest along. Look and smell great. Trimmed water leaves and a few sugar leaves. Will let them dry day or two then try a picture.

Weeze - You give someone allot to processes in just a few lines. 1- Been reading about method of determining ripeness using trioc color instead of hairs, leaves, and density of bud. Think it would help in achieving max max. Thought I could see some sprinkles of amber in bud pic when enlarged. Probably wishful thinking. There's always something that says try me.
2- Day and night tears, need that. They have destroyed my ability to sleep. If it worked out would be manna for me. Hear what your say about tears! Am 15 months clean(so far) after 3 year battle with stage 4 multi site cancer. The bladder-prostate where bad, miss the 4x adrenalin from the affected adrenal gland, can't sing anymore (thyroid cancer). But one year of heavy tears, and the docs are amazed they could not find any traces anywhere!! In fact want to talk methods. 3- Enjoy your poetic tendencies. 4- Don't run over my grandson while surfing over there, he's got more to teach me.

Este take the tops, let lower ones fill for a while longer, take a few at a time to ease work load, not take buds and try to reveg(never had much luck there). But all need to be gone soon, have the next group in the wings and are growin like weeds.

After the previous posts, it came down to the new girls are ready. Right at a cubit tall, right size for me. All came out on 6-7. Gave me two days to clean and sterilize the tent.

54 days of bloom and it is sweet smelling. Am drying and trimming for pics and weight.

6-10-13 back in the swing of things. Tent full, most 20-22 inches inches tall.

Ok, feel thoroughly chastised for letting my grow log grow cold for a while. But did keep some stats for those who care.

Spring run came in at 683gm, trimmed and dried. Very nice tasting, in fact it came in as I was leaving on first trip and was gone when I came back, got lots of good feedback, did get some of the tears-seemed very clean(if that makes any since) very nice, you could work. But I got used to some pretty heavy stuff for a while, while gone.

But it did influence me to let summer grow go a little longer.from 6-10 till 8-8,quess it was only a week longer, but the buds seemed more mature, is harvested and drying now.

But seems like stuff happens, basically lost last clone run and veg room got wasted. Think I have saved a couple from each of my three strains. But adapt of perish, so today after clean up of tent and sterilization, am doing a 98 seed run of Humboldt kush(cup stuff). See how it does here, hope for new private strain.

:jointsmile:finish this up, summer run one week longer than last, treated both the same(total organic) except sterilizing the tent(use a disinfectant). Was going to prove a point on making weight, ended up at 668gm, lost about 30gms to mold just starting in the hearts on the biggest. Less weight than before, but it's stronger I believe, and the silver bullets sure have a kick.

So proved each grow is different, start out hoping just for something, then be thankful for any you get.
