Hey whats up all

i just post this in the other section but im trying to get the most answers i can here, so im copying it over cus i see theres like 200 people on this one

I havent smoked in a couple years, I used to smoke socially then got very heavy, smoking all day from when i woke up to late at night for a few years, and i'm feeling a lot better overall and doing good, but i still blaze socially now and then

ive been seeing news today about weed and some stuff has been about different strains, and their effects, which reminded me..

one of my relatives is a very big dealer in the city near me, and from him and other people i know, ive smoked the best of the best. all different kinds of kush, haze, sour diesel that smells like its from valhalla. sativas and indicas, what have you. one thing for me though, is all types of weed always effect me the same. hash is a bit different from weed, but only a bit. the only real difference i see from weed and even to hash is the taste, the high is almost completely the same. some bud gets me higher than others or higher faster but the high is always the same for me.

ive seen delivery guys, dealers, my relative, talking to customers about the weed, talking about the 'body high' and 'head high' of indicas and sativas, the 'relaxed high' or 'energetic high' and ive known people who buy it up. they are totally into it, they hear it out, they even say they feel these things themselves. but all weed makes me feel exactly the same, just high, in my head what goes with that like enjoying music, and in my body.

one thing though, is my relative himself told me that he just makes all that stuff up, it all affects him the same too. he said it helps the stuff sell better and people try more stuff. i doubt he needs it, he sells a crazy amount, but anyways. sometimes the strains he gets does come with a name but more than half the time it doesnt, and he picks it out a name with his girlfriend. sometime he goes off names that really exist or just makes stuff up. anyways, that doesnt affect whether or not there are different effects, just saying, im not sure about the whole 'og kush' 'purple haze' and all.

another thing is, when i get high, i dont act like all other people. some people really like to eat but ive always got the 'reverse munchies' while im high, then when my high wears off, i get hungry as hell. i usually become more chill but ive seen people react all ways. i actually think we can get cultured into getting high.

ive read that in some south american cultures, when they use cocaine, they become very introverted and quite and relaxed, even though most people here associate cocaine with being really excited and talking. but with all my original friends too, we usually become quite and chilled, not all talkative, only sometimes i guess.

anyways, im trying to stay on weed, but it ties in a bit, i think. do you think there are really different effects for different kinds of weed on you? because for me, high is high, some just higher than others. exactly the same, though.

yes and no

weed is weed, some say. I can understand that but personally I can feel different kind of buzz from one strain to the other. Some make me tired for hours, some start out a little jittery but get energetic after a while.

Depending on the genetics of the cannabis you are smoking, the effect will be different. Even within one strain there is some genetic variation between plants which can produce different psychoactive effects. some cannabis will have a more heavy, medicinal stone to it that will relax you eventually make you very hungry and tired. very useful for people with pain. other cannabis will be a rushing cerebral high, that blasts you into space. this cannabis gives you a racing energetic high. it is the most useful cannabis to most people and is found in the sativa dominant strains. I have hallucinated on several occasions from cannabis. if you hit it hard enough you will be taken on a freight train ride; smoking a potent golden cannabis oil through a heated attachment on a bong lead to the white walls fading to red lol...

"white walls fading to red"

Extreme conjunctivitis, hallucination? Semantics! ;)

But, chemically, we are as different as our fingerprints.
I personally, seem highly tuned to the benevolent herb.
Have been for ~half a century!
I get a very wide range of medicinal and recreational effects.

That's not surprising.
There are over 60 cannabinoids in cannabis, in various ratios and proportions.
There are more than 9 stereo-isomers of THC alone.
(Delta-9 is my favorite). :)

CBD modifies the effects of THC, and has effects of it's own.
Then there's the incredible range of scents and flavors with the different strains and different stresses.

I try to keep many strains as possible going and always stagger my harvests to modify the psychoactive, and medicinal effects.
I cut some at "mostly cloudy" for "workin' weed.
(I'm not just able to function, but willing as well. :) )
I also use that for "Day oil".

Then "scattered amber" for pain relief and anti-emetic effects.

Some "half rusty" for ramping down in the evening.

And a little "all amber" for insomnia and "night oil.

I have found that my friends that do not experience these subtleties, seldom do just weed alone.
After a half dozen beers, and some EWPs, (evil ,white, powders), it's not surprise to me that their senses are bollixed.

I find that if you study da herb, and work with her, she replaces all that harmful and debilitating crap with actual healing power.

Just my 2 cents.
I suspect that your mileage may vary. :D

I agree with Da Weez! Different strokes with the same strain depending on harvest time and also from strain to strain...I wish I had all your strains Brah! (TANK bows to da Weez)

Good thing is, I had made seed from the keepers before the crash.
So, starting over, from seed.

Good to see you posting here.
You always give excellent advice.

Like wine there's a lot of different flavors and alcohol percentage, and of course you get drunk when you drink a lot. Drunk is drunk like high is high.
Different strains would have different psychoactive properties when consumed in controlled dosages. I gather the best way to notice the strain's affects would be through consumption, since the cannabinoids from it is distributed through out the senses.

I am the exact opposite of the TS. I get crazy reactions from good stuff, ranging from insane hunger, severe paranoia, hysteric silliness, nonstop laughing, temporary retardation, philosophical enlightenment to the point that everything I say is something spectacular, even "yes" and "no", LSD-like hallucinating, and more.

Conversely, cheap weed doesn't do anything to me at all, even tho the people who smoke all the time are getting high from the same stuff.

i live in a small town in a state where it's not legal, so we get some we refer to as "Reggie Miller", because it's regular here, which is still a blessing. but the other day we found some called Agent Orange, beautiful bud, great buzz, but 20 a gram here! but i don't think i could tell a difference between them if i smoked that one day and then tried another kind like Sour Diesel or something another day. regular bud for a dank price, can you believe that ? but there is fo sho a difference between Reggie Miller and A.O., haha. in other words, you are lucky in my opinion to be around such dank dynasty !:hippy:
