have a 13 day as is from day it sprouted old c-99 female seed I planted that is just barley starting its second set of serated leaves the one that grows three fingers u know . Growing very slow I mean slow compared to others I have done in the past . Its in about a cup of miracle grow soil water it with ph'd water every three to 4 days when it dries out temp 77 to 79 ph is 6.9 lights are on 18/6 one is a cfl hydrofarm 32watt 6500k first time using one of those and two 2 ft t5 floros not sure spectrum. anyways plant is only like three inches tall and from the first set of serated leafs to the other end of the other is only a inch and a half and seems like its hardly growing not to mention the leaves underside looks red a little and so do the veins but the top is green . Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, not every seed grows into the robust, fast growing plant everyone of us would like every time. You can continue to grow it and it WILL grow, but for one reason or another it didn't get the "grow fast" gene. Not much you can do but either waste it or grow it out, realizing if you do grow it out, it will always be behind/smallerthan the robust seeds/plants. Yummmm, I like C99 too!....shame it had to be a Cinderella99!

MG soil is a little hot for seedlings. or maybe a lot hot.

Thanks Tankjr I started germinating another c-99 we will see how that one goes. I have always used miracle grow soil everytime I start seedlings so idk wtf , and never have had problems before ive seen a liitle slow growth but not the underside of the leaves turning red a little bit. Ive thought about starting it in a ph'd rockwool cube but have never done that before and don't know how it would work and once the roots come out how do I keep the light from hitting them? because it needs to have a pretty good root system before I can plant it. Any other advice would be helpful and thank u again..............

I don't think Miracle Grow is big problem with seedlings. Its a weed for cripes sake and if a weed can't germinate in it what kind of seeds would grow in it? That said, I hate MG, Scotts, Monsanto like POISON! They are the fucking devil. Personally, I avoid their products. I would continue to use soil rather than rock wool to start if you are going to grow in soil. Buy a bag of seed starter mix (has more fine peat moss).
Are you keeping the lamps close enough to the plants ( like, not two feet, .6 meter away)

Everything sounds good except that M. G. soil....and I would lower the pH to 6.2

I have the lamps about 6 to 8 inches from the top. I have used MG many times to start seedlings never had problems. So idk WTF you think 6.9 is too high of PH for soil? usually its around 6.5 in past. You really think I should go buy a seedling mix? never had to use that stuff before.

Like Tank said it could be just the phemon you have. I bet if you planted 5 different seeds of the same type, there will be some that just dont grow like the others. Its the way of life. I personally use the left over soil from the last harvest for seedlings and clones. Its been flushed and has less nutes in it and the little ones seem to love it. Got any pics?

if u read my first post it tells u everything. just Miracle Grow and Tap water left out PH'D to 6.0 but like I said I have used the same kind of soil in last grows and never had a problem and the water I used tap left out for 24 to 48 hours and never messed with its ph and they grew just fine so IDK WTF ?????

Def. not a phenom problem. Looking mighty yellow. Have you tried going back to not ph'ing your water? I normally wouldn't suggest that but since it worked good for you last time, its worth a try. If it were me id just transplant it into a 1 gal of MG 6 month and water with 1 cup of water and just let it sit for about a week and a half. Sound stupid but always seems to work for me. So is that MG organic soil you are using?

Well that sucks. Your MG and mine are the same but look totally different. Weird. Well hope you have better luck with the new little one. Keep us posted.

Those plastic cups are useless the soil cant breath and the plants suffocate.

Your not joking, are you?

Unfortunately he's Not joking. Yea, place it in a Clear Plastic Container & def use a "Dow/Monsanto" nute mixture, they're the best out there. Keep feeding tap water cuz the fluoride destroys all unwanted bacteria, while you're at it add a smidgin of ejaculate from this morning wank. Peace be upon you.

I've used plastic cups before with no problems, I usually use Styrofoam cups then tape around them with black electrical tape just to make sure the roots don't get any light. A little extra security I guess.
But like I was saying before have always used miracle grow soil mainly cuz u really don't have to feed them that much through out the grow, just a little cuz the nutes in it take care of most of it. I don't know what the deal is though probably just a few bunk seeds I guess. :S3:

I think your pH down to 6.0 might be an issue. I'd say, don't pH your water at all, or anything else, and see what happens. Also, you don't need to wrap tap on a container that is a soil grow. Blocking light is done on containers used in hydro to prevent algae from growing in the water, which will plug pumps and compete with roots for fertilizer. Is pHing to 6.0 something new? Have you done this before with good success?
Shovel, you really need to work on that shy personality.
Esteban, you must be a mad chemist!

Think we're just fr'gg'n old & have way too much empirical knowledge on quite a few topics? F all of the Nay Sayers, politicians, democracy with their republican/democratic claws in Our pockets. Back to the point at hand. It's not rocket science growing your own ANYTHING! Takes a little research, common sense (or whatever you were taught) believing in your abilities & taking it to the next level. BumperFck
