Hey, planning to grow in soil (normallyI use DWC). I am getting some seeds from Herbies (5xPineapple Chunk feminized, 1x Afghan Kush 2x Kerala X Skunk). I am planning to only grow two at a time (1 Afghan and 1 Chunk).

My concerns are growing in soil and the type of stuff I am using and mixing in with. Hopefully some experienced soil grower can give me some pointers, or point me in the right direction.

Veg 175W MH
Flowering 150W HPS

Planning to start off in the two cup method of solo cups. My main concern is that I ordered a 3 gallon smart pot, and I plan to use the Pineapple chunk in there, and the kush in a traditional pot (possibly an airpot to test out which is better).

I am using Rapid Rooters first to germinate, but I might test planting one seed directly into the Fox Farm Ocean Forest/Light Warrior mix.

I ordered both Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Fox Farm Light Warrior. I have done some research and found that mixing light warrior and ocean forest is a good idea, using 50/50. Hopefully someone can help me on a logical soil mix.

Now admendments to the mix, I ordered dolomite lime, perlite, liquid karma, and hygrozyme (I use it in hydro). When would you recommend adding amendments, is it safe for the seedling stage?

I have the full line of Fox Farm liquid nutes as well (Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, and Grow Big) I will want to introduce these nutes once I am in a 3 gallon pot when Ocean Forest nutes has ran it's course right?

I plan to order some more nutes and amendments such as Earth Worm Casings, Glacial dust, and Guano. My only concern is that do I really need that stuff if I have Big Bloom, because guano and casings are inside the liquid mix.

Also I am considering getting Epsom Salts is that a good idea as well?

Any recommendations for nutes or amendments would be very helpful!

BTW: This is a closet grow, so I am limited on space currently.

Thanks so much!

Sound setup you have planned. You should do great. Epsoms? I'd say it depends on your water supply. I have calcium and magnesium in my well water. That said, I've used it anyways just because.

um, he said he ordered dolomite lime. Myself, I also use Sunleaves dolomite lime. in my soil mixture.

Both of the soils that you ordered don't need anything added they are ready to grow you can add more perlite but they both already have it in them . A good balanced fertilizer like Earth Juice is an easy way to go because when you start adding things they will alter the pH and then you're screwed. K.I.S.S...............KEEP IT SIMPLE....................
