Optimum Grow Container Dimensions?

Hi,

I am a newbie. I have an indoor setup and am about to grow two plants, one a strawberry cough, the other a white widow.

I am somewhat limited in height. I estimate the maximum plant height, including container height, to be ~48".

I stupidly bought 2 3 gallon containers (way too small) and then 2 20 gallon containers (way too big). I then searched this fine forum without success.

Given my height limitations, what are recommended dimensions for a cylindrical grow container (Diameter and Height)?

I think your height, not time will be your limit factor. Your three gal ones should grow something big enough. Trick is to get what you can in the limited space. Check out the pruning treads, there's some brainiacs here.
