Tank was just blessed by the light gods who saw to it he inherited a nearly new 1000W digital adjustable convertible (lots of bulls___) HPS light because my grow bro with way too much money decided he had to try a new induction light! He got a 400w for 1250 bucks...the 1000 was prolly around 330. The 1000 weighs well, not enough to bother weighing! The 400 weighs about 53 lbs fully rigged. That's pretty heavy on his little flimsy tent poles! We have safeties on it, just in case! The 400 is also very large and nearly fills up the space above the canopy in his 5x5 tent and is prolly 4'x3.5' with reflectors on. the 1000 is very compact... a 6" tube by about 30" long. I will get the exact electrical details and break it down to actual wattage. I know the 1000 is rated @ 11Amps and only draws 8.8A @ 120V. I don't know the exact data on the new 400, so I will have to check on it. I do know the entire purpose was to lower the electric bill with the 400 so we shall see what happens. We are growing out some of my AK-47 strain in dirt for comparison purposes as we have both had plenty of experience with this strain. I will let ya'll know how it grows! Stay tuned!

This induction light DOES have the ballast built-in um, I guess it's on top??? Looks similar to a regular digital ballast, but is mounted to the unit, ie, is self contained on/in light.

I'm currently growing with two of these lights...they are awesome...previously I was using two 1000 hps...my electric bill went from 329.00 a month to 189.00 ...no need to run air conditioner temps never surpass 74 deg....I got mine for $795.00 on line...the ballast is piggy backed on the light...you can check these out at Inda Gro.com

Just to update everyone...this won't be much of a test this time around....My bro wasn't paying attention to his SOIL ph and when he called me over to figure out what was wrong with his plants, some of the soil Ph readings were all the way down to 4.8. Needless to say, this has screwed his grow up to the max and he will probably have to start over with his new light and a lesson learned the hard way...Ck the ph of everything, every time! I have had no such problems and thus, my weed under the 1000w is blowing his away. We will try this again however!
