Firstly, let me say hello.. I've been around this forum a little bit, but I have a couple hundred posts on another excellent forum. This is a great forum as well, so I'd like to share my first grow with you all. I've started learning everything as of about 2 months ago.

Ok, I'll update the initial post as needed, if needed along the way... but after a long while of drilling you all with questions, just over $1,800 later and here we are. Seeds are germing in my dark closet and seem to be doing well (all stopped floating). After a little root pops out, I'll put directly into my Sunshine mix and in the tent under 400w MH with digital ballast set to 50%. (600w HPS for flower).

Here's some pics of the journey and take note that I do understand my rectangular hole in the res needs a cover... I have a great one made, it was just off and not on during these pics lol. Also, I do understand that I need to get my power strip up off the ground.

I'm running Sunshine Mix with Xnutrients line and lots of supplementals along the way, and in an Ebb and Flo system. Any questions, feel free to ask, any awesome advice pleaseeee feel free to give me your thoughts. I will be updating these journals daily, and hope to acquire a great first grow.

Seeds have been germing for over 60 hours and I'm not too happy with what I see :(

2 of the Pineapple Chunk have tap roots, and 3 of em may not seem to make it. I plopped my 2 freebies (Cluster and Blue Lemon Thai) last night for insurance to fill my tent. They both have white spots on their ends already this morning.

i suppose if you think about the number of seeds they produce and a million failed it would still be a very very very low failure rate. whod you get your seeds from? most of the better seed banks will work with you to a degree or so ive heard. cant hurt to try at least

I've already shot an e-mail to Attitude Seedbank to see if there's anything to be done.

i have 4 pineapple chunks from attitude on the go atm, they germed within 24 hours and within 36 were in the soil, barnys farm right? im not sure how you germ but u seem to have done your homework n theres lots of different methods to germinationi dont know if its any good to you but i personally prefer the wet paper towel method, i will double up on towels on a plate for there base, use tap water thats been left a few hours so is at room temp and soak the base, pour any excess water down the plug not to drown them then place seeds bout 2" apart and place loosly a dry single sheet ova the top, the water from your base will wet the towel above the seeds, then place another plate ova the top, now here i usually stick it on my sky box thats on standby, produces enough heat not to cook them but keeps em from the cold, tried and tested and works for me. if ur having troubles worth a shot? good luck

Changed up my ventilation so the filter is tied up in the corner, through my lights hood, out of tent to the fan pulling it all through. Negative pressure achieved.

@HigherThanYou: Thanks for checking in! Yeah maybe I drown some beans, we'll see. I put all 5 in cups tonight and they are on their way. I germinated the 2 freebies to make sure I'll (hopefully) have at least 4 plants.
