Ok so I have a lemon haze in fertilized soil with perlite. 1000 hps along with a 400 wtt metal halide. I water every 2-3 days with alternating beestie feed with molassis to straight water with molassis. so here is the problem. today is my 81st day in flower, is this normal. none of the leaves look to be yellowing and the buds have a very nice frost but when I use a micro, there are no amber trichomes.. there are plenty of cloudy ones and I would say its a good 95% cloudy but NOT ONE AMBER????? do all marijuana plants eventually turn amber? It seems like I am gonna be waiting forever.. a friend told me to force it to amber by not watering at all. will this work and will this not effect the overall product? I dont want to sacrifice time for quality... also I have some other plants in the same rooom at a different stage of flowering and the leaves all through out the plant are turning light green to yellow and drooping alot.. I know some thing is wrong but dont know what. please help me if you can. oh the plants that are showing distressed leaves are only abbout a month and a half into flowering . can I do anything to save them?

prob because youre still feeding them? i would think you should be well at the point where you stop feeding and start flushing

Yup, we told you 10 days ago to start flushing. Now your herb is gonna taste like ass. Anyway, time to harvest. (and its not super lemon haze, no way in hell- not even a lick of silver on those plants)

I did do a flush about 10 days ago and have just watered every 3 days or so... what I am looking for is amber trichomes or is what everyone is telling me wrong? There still is no amber trichomes... none!! I think I am gonna just pull it....

The amber trichs start on the lower sugar leaf.
The bud tip glands are misleading because they produce new glands there.
Look at the older glands for your amber.
They can be hard to see even with magnification.

You can also cut a few lower branches.
Dry 'em and try 'em.
Amber, no amber.
They are ready when you say so, yah?

This may or may not be of any help. But....
I have grown many strains where Trichomes have never turned amber. (Reached 12 weeks)
Still they produced some very high grade cannabis . Good luck with your grow.

Buenos my far west comrade (or east depending where boots on tha ground). Will try & post a few pics but thought this was "verboten"? Besides, my previous avatar sums up the geekiness in me but do like the Roma (& yea, took that pic in December). Newbee, seriously, seem like a nice bloke. Take a deep breath & chill. Don't take ANYTHING too personal cuz it'll give Me heartburn & you a stroke. No one wishes ill will on ya but most of the cats on this site are very serious about growing. It's all about time tested techniques, strategies that are the basis of a good outcome. Learn from your mistakes & try not to make them again. My ADD is kick'n in again so will leave it alone.
