I'm growing nine plants with two florescent lights. The brightness of them are 1570. The light appearance is warm at 2500k I use miracle grow soil and I use mircle grow fert. I give them 24 hours of light. I keep a nice size fan in the closet. I usually keep it on low but some times turn it up to add more wind in the plants. (I call it "exercising") this is my 1st grow but I have read lots of post and info about. I plan on upgrading and purchasing everything in due time. My plants are around roughly 3 weeks. My grow process started kinda rough. My lights burned my lower leaves but my plant grew on and now are doing fine I water when the soil is dry about 2 inches deep.
I'm uploading pics right now but I'm looking for some advice and guidance about what steps to do next like: when should I make them flower and what to do with wirhered or dead leaves.

first thing id do if i was you is change the tinfoil to flat white paint, its a better reflector. hard to see the plants. might want to add some more light for 9 plants. its ok when they are little but they starve as they get bigger. as far as flowering goes, you may want to give it a nother week or so depending on tall they are and how many nodes they have. if height is going to be an issue sooner than later is what you need. if height isnt a big deal...and when isnt it indoors, but then you could give it another month if you wanted. depends on what strain it is also. dead and withered leaves well is best not to have them obviously. if they are dead cut them off, if they withered you need to find out why they withered if we are talking about a bunch as opposed to one or 2.
thats whered id start anyway, i imagine others here will have some advice for ya too.

Thx alot. When you say paint should I get some paint from the store or should I use something that's white?
A couple days ago I seem a guy with reflectors over his plant pot but underneath his plants. I made a make shift copy and will upload sum pics now. It's only my 1st node on the plants that have been burnt. The tips were crispy but some seem fine now and are on the road to recovery. My bigest plant #4 is on it's 6th node but it's 5th on is still growing out. But in between my nodes branches more sets of leaves have grown. Do they count as extra nodes or not? If so I have 10 but the last two are small. I will get a ruler and take some detailed pics of them all.

you could also use mirrors as reflectors. mirrors reflect 99% of the light, so placing mirrors around your plants would boost the lux... as Mal has already said, common florescent lights
won't provide enough oompf once the plants get big, so eventually you might want to ugrade
your lights. LED lights are getting better all the time, with the best energy-to-light efficiency
of any artificial light source.
plus LEDs are 'tuned' to the proper light color (mj plants want green and red light to grow).
LEDs are expensive, but should last years...
good luck

you can use whatever you have if its white or a mirror i guess. the nodes are the ones on the main stem give it one more so you have around 6 or 7.

Romeofctc...
1. White reflects more light than any kind of silver or aluminum. Do some research, prove it to yourself.
2. Mirrors SUCK for reflecting light, the light loses energy/power both ways going through the glass.
3. CFLs work OK, but you need BIG ones, like 300watt ones that use 65 watts (see pic)
4. LEDS are good, MJ likes blue for veg and red for flower, metal halide bulbs are bluish/for veg and high pressure sodium are orange-ish/for bud.
MH and HPS bulbs are expensive and need to be replaced every 12-16 months, but LEDs like the 250Watt BlackStar w/3 watt chips should last several years. I have CFLs, LEDS (a few types) and a switchable MH/HPS system. What I use depends on where I'm growing. MH/HPS generally get too hot for most closet grows so a combination of CFLs and LEDs are usually your best bet. That's the example in the pics.290055290056290057

Ok it's been around a month and my plants are getting nice and big. I was wondering what size pot should I use for when I start my flowering process. I'm going to get a hps light system to help flowering. Where will the flowers start to form so I can Remove the male plants. And also will the male plants produce bud? And what will happen after my plants finish their cycle? Will they die? What type of problems should I expect

I'm wondering if you have too many plants in a small space. They'll get much bigger than that. I'd consider flowering them now. Sacks of pollen will start to show on males. They won't produce bud. Transplant to 5 gallon buckets or bigger. At the end of their life, the leaves will yellow, but only then is it normal. Any time before that might indicate a problem. Go easy on the fert as miracle grow is some hot stuff.

Ok thx how long should it take for me to see the pollen sacks
