moonlight?

so heres something i was curious about. everyone worrys about interrupted light cycles...and rightly so. we make sure our rooms are as dark as dark can be. I know my tents are pretty good but unless i coat the outside and cover them im not sure ill ever get it perfect. that made me think about when i grew outside alot, no control over the light there.....what about moonlight? my plants had the potential to be exposed to at least 7 or so fullmoon cycles. that means 4 or 5 nights of fairly bright light every month depending on clouds etc. im sure the average is lower but its still a fair amount exposure. certainly brighter than an led on a heater or pinholes in a tent. does that have any effect on photosynthesis etc? does it increase the chances for males or hermies? i never really paid attention to it when i grew outside(just trying to remember where they all were was enough). i know the spectrum is basically the same as the sun but maybe higher in ir ive read, just reflected as opposed to direct and obviously weaker. so are those pinholes really so bad or do the plants use them like moonlight or starlight?

moonlight is weak reflected light...not a factor...IMO

Hey ...So as i thought..It would not affect much,even the cannabis which grows on higher attitudes on mountains does go through the moon cycles and the stuff is pretty good

yeah im hip, i guess i meant was more if light leaks and pinholes, small led light etc are more like moonlight or starlight and not really that big a deal. the whole garden by astrology thing wasnt really what i had in mind.

Anything under ~1 Lux will not trigger photoperiod
The full moon, at the equator, on a very clear night, is ~ 0.5 Lux.
So, whip out your meter and check them pinholes, n leds.
