Hey everyone. this is my first attempt at growing and i would really appreciate your feedback. im using organic soil i always make sure my nutrient solution is between 6-7 ph. The tampature is typically in the mid to low 80's and the humidity flucuates pretty dramatically. sometime its as low as 16% and as high as 75%. i wuld say the average is somewhere around 50%. As of now I am on a 24hr light schedule with 400w 6500k lights because I'm in the vegetative grow phase. It's my understanding that I should switch to 2500k lights and a 12/12 light schedule when I want to begin flowering. Where I'm a little lost is how do I know when to begin flowering? They seem to be doing extremely well and are really growing fast. If there is anything you recommend to do differently please feel to say. I would appreciate any feedback.

you can veg a plant indefinitely. typically its about a month or two unless its an autoflower. for the most part its all about your environmental restrictions sorta.
it also depends on the strain. some take longer than others. if its your first go around sit back and enjoy the show. if nothing else you will have learned something about your plants.
basically i let mine get to about half the height of the room...ish (24 -36 inches maybe depending on strain?) and switch them over.
when grew outside i would start my plants in the middle april and get them outside by maybe first week of may at the latest.
they didnt get yanked until the middle or end of october. thats a good 6 months of grow time, 3-4 months or so of that was veg time. my plants would get huge
8-9 foot tall and fat. thats really impractical indoors so the veg time gets cut shorter.

Awesome. Thanks for the help! They're about a foot tall so I think I'll start flowering now.

one thing i have to correct myself on. indefinitely was the wrong word extended is more accurate. the plants are designed to flower and die all we can do is prolong the inevitable.

And am I on point with the lights? 2500k on a 12/12 schedule?

there are tons of others here who do know and can get you squared away.
