ive been gathering materials to build this 3x3x3 box for the last few weeks and i finally got building, i got most of it figured out, i snap some quick pics to share with you guys and maybe get some tips and advise. as you can see im missing some light sockets. there will be a total of 12 lights. i will starting 4 plants from clones in here.
for veg stage:
8-26w 1600 lumen 6500k
total=208w 12800 lumens
for flower
8-19w 1200 lumen 2700k
4-26w 1600 lumen 6500k
total= 258w 16000 lumens
apart from finishing the actual box, i need to figure out, what fan(s) and how to set one up and also a filter. size of pots

im covering the whole inside of the box with a roll of this stuff. it should help keep in the little heat cfl's put out.

Hey I nd ulike the box u picked out and good choice on the mylar but I am. Oh new to the site and are looking fro frinds ill send u a add but I hop u keep a log going I am intrester in your box and are u going to use cfls or hid light . Oh look for 90 watt cfl heat lamp the produce 1200 lumens this will save some space instead of having 50 lights hainging around and they only cost a dollar

You should since your box is enclosed. Fresh air needs to go in too. You could use those 4" - 5" computer 12V case fans. They are very effective, the best mini vent fans really. But you'll need to wire them to a DC converter. I would put two 3" intakes on the bottom, and one 4" exhaust somewhere on top. That would be enough ventilation.

I was thinking of putting in a passive intake setup, with a intake vent that is opened with the pull from the exhaust fan. I just narrow it down to which products to use.

Only one thing to cover with this f'ing box! the intake! i havnt added up my receipts, but i know ive spent wayyy more than i was planning.
back to the intake, i need ideas. the cab. itself is located in a atic type of location so it does get a bit warm. there is a large air vent near by where id like to draw fresh air in from. i cant seem to find a not so expensive way to do this though.
i picked up this 4" orcile fan for $50

so im kinda bummd rite now, i think i may not have enough space height wise, from soil to the highest point where my lights can be i only have 19" of space..!! can i work with that?
