Help me decide on a light

Ok guys so i can really only afford to purchase one lighting system, and wanted to know what you guys think i should go for... I will probably be growing in a portable/canvas wardrobe...

At first i was going to buy a CFL reflector (e40 fitting), and use a 250watt self ballasted metal halide from start-finish... Note i will only be growing 1 or 2 plants

However i recently found a cheap ballast that can power both metal halide and hps... Altho its only 150watt, but this will let me use hps for flowering

Which should i go for? By just buying the cfl reflector i can use a 250watt MH for veg and a same or higher power red CFL for flowering, plus its cheaper- are red CFLs honestly good for flowering... How would they compare to a 150w hps?

I also just noticed that 70watt HPS security lights are quite cheap... would a 70w hps be sufficient for 1 plant in a 50cm x 75cm x 160cm area?

really cant decide whether to go for self ballasted metal halide start-finish with the ability to switch in a cfl bulb, 150watt hid switchable, or a 70w hps floodlight start-finish..

You can pick up a decent 600 watt set up for around 200 bucks that will come with a digital ballast, MH and HPS bulbs and a fixture to hang it.. have a look around on ebay or even craigslist kinda sites.. there are some pretty good deals out there! 150 watts of hps wouldnt be bad.. but 600 would be MUCH better ;-) for the extra few bucks.. its well worth it imo... cheers!

Ya dontwaste your time with a 150....You need light..A 400 watt hps/M H would deffently be thesmallest id go personally.You can get a complete light system as you described in a 400 watt on amazon for about $160.00
Trust me you need more light.Ive got 6 plants and using a 1000 & 400 watt HPS and great buds!
