Hi all! This is my first post after reading threads for several days. I quit smoking heavily (quarter per week for years) for 21 days for pre employment urine test at labcorp. Home tests came out positive several days before for first void. Drank 1.5 liters water and passed home tests with faint lines. Took test on Monday at 3 and its now Thursday (little over 72 hours). I have been super stressed since I need this job and have been away from my fun stuff! If I could get some feedback about how long it takes to get the dreaded mro call-specifically from labcorp for failed test, that would really help me out. Does lab corp send failed initial test for confirmation before calling you? Peace & Thanks everyone!

I would greatly appreciate any input you can give regarding if you think I have a shot at passing, or your similar experiences with passing or failing. I feel like I'm losing my mind waiting and need a distraction & some hope!!

Does lab corp send failed initial test for confirmation before calling you? Yep. By the time youre notified about a failed U/A, a confirmation test had already been performed in order to obtain a quantitative value.

Depends on how backed up they are. Might be a few days, might be a few weeks. Theres no telling.
One thing is for certain: you will be notified one way or the other if there were any problems with your urine sample.

Thanks again toasty for your realistic no-nonsense response! I am curious as to what your motivation is as moderator of this site. Do you think it is safe to partake in my favorite method of relaxation again, or should I wait? I was thinking that if my sample was diluted I would have heard by now, and if I failed I highly doubt I'd get another try. Do you think it would be a good move to call labcorp and ask if/when results were reported? At this point I just want this to be over so I can go on with life. Already started looking for new jobs. My situation is a little more complicated as my current employers will be receiving results since the new job is a result of change in management. Hate to lose respect after 6 years and hope reference will remain intact. Next time i need to woman up and sub instead of this gambling torture! It's funny that I'm a straight "A" student but am having such a hard time with this test! :D

Do you think it is safe to partake in my favorite method of relaxation again, or should I wait? Its wise to just wait - until you recieve your paycheck from your employer
I was thinking that if my sample was diluted I would have heard by now, and if I failed I Do you think it would be a good move to call labcorp and ask if/when results were reported? Never inquire about the test results! A person who is truly drug-free would never do this because there is no reason to do so. Doing so would only raise suspicious eyebrows. You'd want to assume the mindset of "I dont do drugs, therefore my drug test is a non-issue" and go about your business as so.
