I'm growing a number of plants at the moment and just wanted to check to see whether this is a normal process with the plants ..

Different plants, same problem

Is the discolouring at the edge's of the bottom leaves normal? Can anyone tell me some info about that please

i think this is normal for the bottom leaves since they dont get much light, your plants look stretched what lights are you using.

My plants are a month old and not that tall...keep your light at about 12-16 inches away from the light. Those may get top heavey quick and the stem may not be able to support the top.

yeh man good advice there, putting them things 12-16 inches away from the sun will do them alot of good ;)

They are very stretched plants by that height id expect the nodes not to be opposite each other.

huuum, thanks for the replies. I've got another picture of the plants so you can see all of it. This is only my second time growing but from what I've seen of other pictures, I'd say my plants aren't that stretched but I'll go with experience ;)

YOur plants arent stretched.

THEY ARE GUMBYS.

Dude those are as about as big a strech as I have seen in homegrown weed.

That looks like it was grown under a 40W incandescent light bulb.

Sorry to say that but its the truth. Those are just some really stretched plants my friend. And if the full sunlight you are referring to is coming from that window, that is why you plants look the way they do.

The dying of you bottom leaves is normal. I am surprised they lasted that long. Your plant is spending a lot of energy on all those stems.

GET SOME CFL today.

FOrget that window light.

HAPPY GROWING.
