I have a filter 4 times that size, on 18 cubic feet and it needs to be reactivated on a bi weekly basis powered by a 300 CFM 8" fan, with 6" ducting... When the carbon needs to be watered again, there is a slight room filling smell.
I don't feel this is going to do anywhere near your needs... I think this would do a 10 cubic foot growbox for about 2 weeks.
I think when you get to week 3 of flower, you'll highly regret not spending better money on a fan, and making your own active carbon filter, honestly I can make a 3'x6" active carbon filter for right around $18 that's triple ply... I think the mesh screen you bought is just a waste of $... That is my opinion, and I could be wrong, but I don't think that's going to do the trick for you. If your venting this outside, yeah, maybe, as long as you don't live near anyone else.
I filter back into my home, and pull the fresh air from outside. (that way when my filter stops working, I'm the first to know, not the next house over)
