View Full Version : Opinions on the calmest, most chill anti-anxiety strains (Preferably Indica-high CDB)

I am looking to grow some strains preferably with lower THC levels, and high CDB. I am one of those sativa-sensetive people, and I just prefer very low intensity, relaxing and calm strains. I'm leaning towards something that is indica dominant, but I don't want something that will completely couch-lock me. I have two strains so far on my list, I have heard good things about Dj Short's Blueberry and very good things about skywalker, they're both indica/ indica dominants.

I know this is pretty specific, but I really just want your opinions, it doesn't have to be exact at all... just preferably an indica hybrid!

Any thoughts?

:thumbsup:MacDawg,

Sativa sensitive here, as well! I love it early in the day. If I have a great Indica for sleep...like Hindu Kush, I will use sativa.

The only real advice, I have is: Be Careful, I've found Sativa Blueberry's...so get your seed from a reputable source!

My middle name is : "Blueberry," I keep it around for pain. My blueberry is, around 12-14% THC. The CBD's, work well for my pain. I only use it for that. It is very relaxing. I use Skywalker on a regular basis, as well. I prefer the Blueberry, but the Skywalker, is potent medicine and I have a bunch of it. I use it for orthopaedic/Neuro/arthritis..as well.

I've heard, that Skywalker, tends to be PM, prone..however, that was from a hydro guy. I do not grow, but that is all I have on that.

Any questions, you would like me to ask DJ?

Both are winners!!!
I am just Stuck on Blueberry, the past 4.5 years! Why mess with a good thing, that works. However, I use Skywalker, like drinking water! It is very relaxing. I tend to be a bit 'high strung.' Without Blueberry, to calm and slow me down, I'd have more medical issues! Dealing with aging and medical issues, I am not very tolerant or patient.

Without my weed, I would be a mean person indeed!:rasta: pr

I second the blueberry, every time I've smoked it, it has given me a nice mellow high. its just not super potent, but it all depends on how you grow it.

I must as well agree with the Kush strains, OG Kush is my fave strain out of all of them. I first smoked that when I went on my first trip to California, and after I smoked the OG Kush , my whole body was feeling very calm and relaxed:stoned:(had an oz of that and i was feeling gooood my whole trip lol).

Also looking at a list of top indica strains on the web and I agree with the top 3 from personal experience. Grandaddy Purp, Northern Lights, and G13.

:thumbsup:NL and GDP, are what I go to, when the others aren't available! Amazing, you picked those!
The only other one, I'd add, is: Headband..it has a head high that is not to dizzy. Works well for total body pain. Very strong.:rasta:

CBD was taken off the DEA's Schedule I list, in 2011. And a plant is not considered, marijuana; unless it has more than .03% of THC. Which means, I think???? if you have a strain like that, is it legal? Wouldn't that be nice!

Admittedly, I'd miss the high, when I need some thunder!:rasta: pr

I was watching a YouTube video on CBD (it was a recommended video so I clicked on it just for fun) and someone mentioned in the comments about a strain called "Harlequin" 75/25 sativa hybrid with a 1:1 CBD to THC ratio (sometimes even 2:1 or HIGHER supposedly) 10% THC, 10% CBD I've read! Very good for pain and anxiety!

Anyone know anyone or have any experience with this strain? This could be a big winner for me potentially!

I've heard of Harlequin - it's supposed to be awesome as long as you get a high CBD pheno out of your set of seeds.

If you're looking for a 1:1 CBD ratio, check out CBD Crew.

We only sell within the UK, but you can get some product info from our site using the following if you want -

CBD Crew (http://www.cannabis-seeds.co.uk/cbdcrew.html)

And, they're partnering up with Dutch Passion as well with the CBD Skunk Haze (http://www.cannabis-seeds.co.uk/dutchpassionfeminised/cbd-skunk-haze.html)and more are supposed to be on the way.

The high CBD strains are supposed to have effects that last longer than standard MMJ with less potential for memory issues, paranoia or anxiety.

It's hard finding a 1:1 ratio even with Harlequin. I'm getting some next week sometime and will be converting it into capsules to take in the evening. It was tested at 4% thc and 14% cbd. I'm kind of questioning whether I'll even get a buzz with the thc so low. That's not why I'm pursuing the buy, but still. I'm hearing true blueberry has both a higher thc level with a decent amount of cbd as well. I would have chose it if it were available....I'll let you know how it goes

hello. these Sativa strains are freaks of nature. I tried BC blueberry five years ago, and the mellow intensity was very calming. I am interested in skywalker, but wandering from some good Kush sounds stoner.

I definitely also recommended OG Kush it is by far one of the best well balanced strains I know that is great for anxiety in my opinion. Also white berry is a great strain too.

I loved OG Kush, until I tried the Hindu Kush. Now, :thumbsup:I loves Hindu Kush..I have tried them both...and I believe the CBD's are pretty high in the Hindu Kush, because I tend to love the CBD strains, unknowingly.

The high is in being 'pain free' which is what I get from Hindu Kush and immediate sleep... Plus, I love some guys CBD tincture. I am going to have to get my hands on that CBD tincture...absolutely no high and a very nice medication. In fact, I am taking a holiday and I think I will re-start my treatment with that tincture. (the fellow is trying to cure brain cancer, among other things).

Pain free, gets my closet cleaned out!
Times are a changing...the high isn't so fun, when you have certain medical issues. ;) pr

I think the strain we were having a conversation about the other night was a newcomer on the scene Banana Kush that has some pretty high levels as far as kush strains go. But if yuh lookin for low thc levels.. this aint the one from what I hear lol ;)Great for the ailments mentioned by both PT and the OP though ;)

the canna capsules of the harlequin turned out great. I ended up making 38 and took 2 in the evening straight through until they were gone. mixed in a few puffs of blue dream as well now and then.
The buzz was very calming and I slept hard each night. I have nocturnal seizures and hard sleep keeps them at bay. So yes on the harlequin and cbd as a nuero-protector(sp). GDP will be ready in April...:rastasmoke:

OmrtiaRX, is a high CBD and very low THC. I have not tried it. However, the author, Martin Lee (Smoke Signals), a member of the CBD crew; said it is the 'go to' strain, if you can get it. He recommended contacting [email protected]. I checked it out, but the real information, I was seeking, wasn't on the site. Since, I am not growing, it would not be advantageous to go there. However, he said they have 'programs' for patient growers. Which is all I can say, about it.

I don't know what is in harlequin, however, GDP is a potent and very chill, long acting medication. I'll look forward to your review of the GDP. I like the taste, too! Oh, put L.A. Confidential, on your list, another I love for sleep. pr

has anyone ever figured out haw many strains/varieties of cannabis currently exist?
i've heard there's over 2000 varieties currently extant, with more being developed
all the time.
it would be great if there was some kind of comprehensive cannabis plant guide available...
