Hey everyone!
So I have a question that may sound a little weird. My roommate has been telling me that it is possible to grow a plant from the seeds you simply come across in your sack. He pretty much told me to just wrap the seeds in a wet paper towel, and make sure that the paper towel is always wet, until the seeds begin to sprout. He told me after they sprout, you can then plant them in a pot just like you would any other plant! Is there any truth to this? I have been putting water on the seeds in a paper towel for about a week as of now, and nothing yet.

The paper towel should be folded and placed in a plastic zip lock bag. the towel should be kept damp and moist not wet and water logged. place seeds inbetween the folds. Keep in a warm place. Not too warm not too cold and this is the hard part. Everyone must find that perfect place. When seeds pop, be very carefull moving them. they are tender.

Any seed can be grown into chronic. That's where chronic comes from. The thing is your not going to make a sativa into an indica or vice versus. If it was bagseed and you like the bag you can make it better with tender loving care and patients.

Thank you so much! Do you know a rough amount of how long it usually takes them to pop? One of my seeds looks like it is already, I can't wait! Thanks again!

Okay I have another question for anyone willing to answer it! All my seeds have sprouted. Ill attach a picture so you can see what it looks like exactly. I believe they are all either ready to be planted, or close to being ready. So, how large of a pot should I plant them in? Should I plant one seed per pot or can I put numerous ones together (I know in gardening if you add more seeds in one plant the plant usually grows larger, not sure if the same applies here). Should I get any type of fertilizer or plant grower to put in with or is that a bad idea? Is there a certain type of soil that needs to be used? Where should the plant be left at, and how damp/wet should the soil be when I water it? I live in Florida so I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to water it more than most. Thanks for the help in advance!

Yea its possible to grow seeds found in ur bag of weed. People call it bag seeds. Half the people on this site I feel are growing bag seed. I found a great way to germinate seeds are to throw them in a glass of tap water and let them site for a day or two. I did that with 18 out of 20 seeds popping from bag seed. I only kept 5 plants due to lack of grow room saddly. They all turned out to be female go figure. I only planted 10 of the 18 seeds tho and I just kept getting rid of them one plant at a time. Heartbreaking really

Your friend is correct.

However, there's a little more to it then that. First of all, you don't need a paper towel. Just fill the bottom of glass or cup with about a half inch of lukewarm water and pop the seeds in (btw- a good seed should be plump and brown) Then set them in a dark space. They can take up to a week for the taproot to emerge, usually not any longer. once that happens make about a half inch indentation in your soil, pop the seed in, water, and keep the soil moist under relatively low light.

This is the method I've used for years and it has been extremely reliable.

You have plenty of work to do and quick! prI like this answer. Read the Growfaqs.

you can also go and buy some sterile soil ( No nutrients added), and add perlite, and peat. 50% dirt 25% peat, 25 perlite. Once they get 4-5 nodes on the stem, you can go and find "Organic Choice" by Miracle Grow. disclaimer: DO NOT use any other Miracle grow soil aside form the recommended "Organic Choice " potting soil. Foxfarm is great, but expensive, and sometimes hard to come by. Good Luck.
