Good day, front & foremost truly hope that all of you outdoorsmen packed it in for the winter/spring! Curious as to why I have found 1 fully developed seed in a harvest of Super Skunk? If you have been following some of me posts ya'll know that 5 plants came to fruition. Obviously haven't inspected all of the ball jars but it is making me wonder what's going on. If anyone can give me a heads up it would be greatly appreciated.

I enjoy finding the occasional seed in my grows. Its been awhile since ive seen one though. If you only found one seed, im thinking the female got a little stressed and popped a nanner on ya. Sometimes they will be inside the bud so you can barely see them. So is the seed mature (dark or lighter color)? If so you probably got yourself a feminized seed there. If you come across a lot more seeds then something happened to pollinate your ladies. You were outside so pollen can come from anywhere. I read that it could be possible for pollen to travel a mile through the air. Dont know if thats true or not just something i read somewhere.

Push, thanks for the super quick comeback! The seed is fully mature. Hard to say how many more in the jars but judging from what I'm seeing methinks they were plucked at the perfect time. Thanks for the input & will keep you in the loop! Peace

Is this the plant that you were moving in and out? I know you had at least a couple different ones.

Evil; no, this was a "skunk" strain. Will keep posted as to any more in the batch but it may just had been a rogue seed?

i was given a rouge seed once out of a mean plant, that seed grew into a mean plant too, then sold a bit of that plant to a mate and he found a rouge seed in that bud, grew it into a mean plant to.........well it was becoming a men plant and then it got mowed by a tractor ;).

hey i was reading in another thread that feminized seeds grow smaller plants, this true?

I've found this a couple of times also... I think what happens is what Pushit described, the plant is simply trying to preserve it self and ends up popping a nanner. I had this same occurrence on some Vanilla Kush, non of which had any visible nanners during the grow.

hey i was reading in another thread that feminized seeds grow smaller plants, this true? BS - I grow plenty of feminized seeds and this has nothing to do with plant size, unless you consider something 6' tall (nearly 2m) small. Size of the container and length of vegetative period are the key factors.

no that sounds like the average kind of size, bout a week away from the first day of summer here, plenty of time to vegy out
