hey all! i have looked on many forums before i posted this as its probally a straighforward answer, but cant seem to get one so if anyone has any experience in this please could you shed some light on my situation.
my situation is this:
my week old blue widow which was on its second set of "true leaves" 3 fingered, with the next set just popping out and from what i can gather is my czech wolf x germansheperd puppy has basically munched the the top of the baby plant off back to its first single bladed "true" leaf, basically "topped it" thankfully not touching the new growth above the remaining leaf stem, which has already started rapid growth reproducing the 3 blade but obviously double the amount of leaves due to the top, so my question is this, because it has been topped/bitten off so low will i in essence have two main stems? and will it affect the rate of growth speed? or will it be a case of because of the extra leaves ect it will balance out and can i "lst" these, gentely, as not to split the stem, as this is my prefered method of growing from personal experience. thanks for taking the time to read n hopefully some ones more than me.
peace out n keep it green

or easyer put, what happens to a topped plant just above the 1st true leafs? the 1st single blade just to clarify, should i expect slow growth?? should i start ova as so young or just leave it be.. everywhere i looked says to do between the 3rd node and 5th opionions vary but theres no info i can find when its topped so low? this is only my 3rd grow so still a noob, shes under a 400w sodium atm, i think i have a rough idea what will happen but clarifaction or a second opion doesnt go a miss, thanks again

It is amazing sometimes to see the amount of torture a plant can take and still survive. While in the vegetative state you can bend, break and cut and they just seem to adjust to it and go on, but usually people wait until the plant reaches maturity (the first alternating nodes) before they attempt topping or FIMing. Your plants will try to survive the attack, and if they do, they will be ok... just permanently changed in structure. You will get 2 main trunks at the break, and being low on the plant right now, you have the chance to make a very dense bushy plant out of this eviscerated victim of canine foolishness. You will not get slow growth in the future from this, but you will get a delay in vertical growth for a week while she readjusts to her new situation. Keep in mind later that you are now supporting 2 main kola's, and her nutrient needs will increase correspondingly.
But then there is the dog to consider. Your puppy apparently thinks that the taste of your plant was interesting... take precautions so that this can not happen again. Keep pets out of the grow area... you don't need them dragging in critters, pollens and wandering among the plants, nibbling here and there.

Here is a plant of mine that experienced a problem early on and split. When I successively up-potted it to the larger container, I buried it deep and put this node right at soil level. This plant has survived and turned out to be a great producer. They will amaze you sometimes. :)

thank you for the reply and advice emmie, was ideal :D that naggin feeling has gone! i have taking into the account that if it survives and with the the top being so low i could potentially 'lst' and really maximize light to plant exposure, thus hopefully increasing yield. iv already transfered her to a bigger pot than i had origanly planned and will veg for 6 weeks, as oppose to my 4 to allow for this period of stumped growth now.
as for the pooch i should have learned when he ate my greenhouse seeds super lemon haze seedling n the other dinefem blue widow 2 days prior to this! pooch is now banned from the grow area, as there isnt much info on a topped plant so low i might put up a few pics of how it progresses, provided it even makes it that is!

287670287671 12 day old blue widow, recovering rapidly! the two the dog actually ate before has been replaced with big bud x white widow (theres not alot of info i can find on this, so if anyone has grown would love to read ur comments hints and tips for that strain), and ladyburn 1974, i just chose it coz it was one of the biggest yieldind n biggest thc count from the greenhouse seeds list( also any info on this strain would be very much apreciated) but they have only just germed
