Hi
This is my 1st grow in 8 years and i am having trouble with my babies.
Im hoping its a PH problem as my meter has been messing me about although it calibrated fine.
I have orderd a new ph meter as i cant trust the reading on my old one .
Ec is also rising but im sure that is due to evaporation.
I am using a NFT system and Canna Aqua Nutes, I was going to use the Canna Hydro Nutes but reading on there site they recommended the aqua for recirculating systems.
Grow room temps are around 75deg not sure on humidity (spent all my budget on other bits).
EC is about 1.7 -2.1 depending on evaperation.
PH 5.8 - 6.5 but i dont trust the meter have a new one ordered
400w HPS

Here some pics sorry for the poor quality but i always have the shakes.

Any Ideas on whats up ?

Thx

I have the same problem in first week after relocation. I use Canna Aqua A+B, too.
First I lower the Ph range to 5.7-6.0. Above 6.0 I read that are some elements that are not absorbed by roots. Maybe that is what your plants are missing.
Second I riseed the Ec from 1.1 (witch was the initial value) to 1.5.
If humidity is lower than 50% try to sprey the leafes with carbonated water. It could be also lack of CO2. I also use CO2 tabs (I don't have money for a CO2 system, yet)

It works for me and my plants!

thanks for the tip i got my new meter today and ph was off by about .4 so am readjusting it now.
when i got some spare cash will get a temp/humidity stat and some form of CO2

I notice they're kind of light green looking, so I wondered if you were not giving enough nitrogen. In looking over your info, you write that you're using Flores, which is actually designed for the flowering stage. Your plants are in the growing, or veg, stage. There probably isn't enough nitrogen to feed a plant in veg using flores, so even though it will cost you some more, you should switch to the Canna Aqua Veg fert and when you go 12/12 lighting, switch back to flores. Also, indoor temps should be under 80F. If you can get it down just below 75F, you'll probably see better growth too. The fert however, is the primary problem. One more thing - always research your ferts, make sure they have all the elements that plants need to grow indoors, without the use of bacteria and fungi if your growing in hydro. Canna is a respected fert and should be okay, but if you make a change and it still looks like you're having a deficiency problem, you'll probably have to flush and get a new fert. I usually recommend Dynagro because I'm familiar with it and it's an easy one-part fert with pretty much everything plants need.

thx
the reason i was using the flores is because they are on a 12/12 to induce flowering but i supose as they are so young they and still growing could well be a nitrogen problem.
will flush tonight and mix up new nutes with some pk 13/14 and see if that helps if not new brand of nutes.
got to get this right as its to make hemp oil for cancer, gonna beat this crap

:jointsmile:Hey Mr. Sheen, too bad, we don't have a special area for patients, in immediate need. It must be difficult, trying to grow, when you have cancer and probably not feeling well. Reps to ya! You are on the right track and I am sure you'll bet it. I sure hope, you are able to grow enough, to cure yourself! Best of all intentions..and prayers for best of results!:rasta: pr

You should be equally concerned about the proportion and concentration of your nutrients. What balance are you using? If your EC is great and you have the wrong brix of nutrients what difference does it make? Your plants are grown enough to flower. Personally I don't worry about EC. I use a liquid style pH tester in an aeroponics system and am awaiting a harvest of an intensely frosty blue mystic plant using no CO2 and my own designed tub and system.
