This is realy an interesting area of growth in our area. What I would like to know is how many of us have aready used elements of this ancient technology, and how many of us have ever even heard of "terra petra"? Some experts say that "even if a gardener uses good soil and nutes, they could see more than a 200% increase in the fruit, grain, or whatever", with that said I thought that I should learn more about it.

Just a few benefits.

Takes carbon from the atmosphere, turns into a solid form and puts it in the soil for the next 1000 years. Anybody hear "carbon credits" While helping us with the atmophere the CO2 isn't even the best part, when carbon is in the soil it keeps NO2 way down too and methane both of which are way more harmful. Carbon also will absorb some pesticides as well. Yah ecology!

Provides near perfect voids for nutients, minerals, flora and fauna to have stabile stuctures with which to propogate or be maintained. The amount of charcoal is amazingly important to how healty the soil can be. Look into biochar online, use, production, research. Wow this should take off. I hope that doesn't mean that DuPont and Monsanto wouldn't. What I am reading means that I will never buy soil again, I will only grow my soil like my pioneer parents did on the farm, only way better. Can't wait to see what automatic soil would be like.

The book I'm reading now on this is "The Biochar Solution" If ref to text is wrong, sorry, edit thanks.

I will try to bring more links in soon. So Anybody! Ideas
