now she is growing fat seeds with a redish hair sticking out the end and they are covered in tiny white pistils..
ive never seen this before and couldnt find info anywhere..

should i cut them off?

I meant the seeds are covered in trichomes

Need a picture, your description means nothing. It's like trying to describe an ailment to a doctor, they have to see it. Get a picture up and me or someone else will be quickly to your aid, if we can.

It's completely normal, man. All of it. Pistils growing from and trichomes on the seed cover are all normal. Do not cut them off!

The pic really doesn't help you can't see the frost on the seeds or the pistil out the end
If you can't imagine what a seed covered it trichomes looks like then I don't need your advice I news someone who. Has seen this before..

like this?

I leave the cover on the seed until I germinate it....:pimp:

so your sayin the trichomes are on all seeds and have a shell like that?
cuz the ones on my plant are frosty and have a dark pistil coming out the tips
should i leave them alone
none of my other plants had seeds like this

All the strains have this. It's called a calyx.

i didnt see these types of seeds in my last few grows they were smaller seeds with no trichs or pistils and they just busted open with pollen..
these seeds i see now arent busting open at least yet

Sounds like you are describing pollen sacks. Seeds do not ever bust open with pollen. If it has a pistol it is not a pollen sack. That's the biggest way to tell, always take care of ball sacks with no white hairs.
I bet the ones the busted open had no pistol and were hanging down on a stem ?

exactly they were pollen sacks i thought they were seeds that makes more sense now
also is this good to have these calyx? will i still get a good potent yield?
and theres no male to fertilize her

Hundreds of calyx make up a bud, so yes it is good. Trichomes means a certain amount of potent. More trichomes, more potent.

Males in this world are only needed to make seeds. Most of us prefere seedless.

I don't get this? Wot exactly are you growing because it sounds like your growing hermaphrodites reusing the seeds you get from your grow and then getting another hermaphrodite. To get the best yield, best smoke, you need to get some good feminized seeds so as to get a female of good quality.

not feminized so good chance of hermie but even if it is feminized and shes 100% female she should have calyx right? or no?

calyx are buds. Yes !

The best way is to use regular seeds and proof cuttings from them to get a strong genetic female mother.
The fast way is to use femm seeds. You may need to use something like dutch masters reverse to keep from having femm seeds and banana's. not all femm do this but some do and can mess you up if you don't want even femm seeds.

One more point. A true femm can not go hermie. only banana's and make femm seeds. Fem seeds only have femm genetics and is what makes them more easily stressed out.

What's the point of cloning a hermaphrodite? A hermie will only produce another hermie whether cloned or you save her seeds.A hermie is partly male and can also fertilize any other female plant within range. I agree with the other poster and when this one is done, you might have some good smoke but get some femmed seed or natural seed (watch closely for males or hermies and pull them early). I think next year I am going to try some femmed seed since my natural seed this year, out of 10 seeds, gave me 2 hermies, 2 males, one died and that left me with 5 plants which are doing great, already harvested one and a half:-)))

No. Seeds from a self pollinated hermie will almost always be a female plant. The same does not go for clones though.

To answer the original question, the "problem" you say you have is actually quite the opposite. Males plants produce pollen sacs that will hang off the plant and split open, showing what looks like a tiny little bunch of bananas. Female plants grow tiny teardrop shaped flowers (calyx) with white hairs called pistils that eventually turn red or brown as the plant matures. Only females can produce seeds- and only of a male is present to pollinate it.
