I am a newbie a am using an aerogarden to germinate and sustain only one plant , it has sprouted but the root started growing towards the light. So I flipped it upside down and now I have two small green leaves . On is yellowing on the end I put 1/4 nutrients in them today. I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't have flipped the root to where it is pointing down or should I have left it as was? It doesn't seem to be dyin yet but not growing either . What should I do ? I also used tweezers and was very careful not to break the root or the leaves. Any info on this would be so much appreciated!!

NO NUTES!

Just keep it moist.

It may appear to be doing nothing because it is concentrating on roots, or because it is screwed.

Give it a week and see if it pulls through. If it gets any taller, it's alive.

How old is the plant?? if it has only two small green leaves its a seedling and too young too feed..feeding a plant this young with nutes will burn the shit out of it.. i use wet paper towels to germinate it usually takes a few days to a week.. dont no why your roots are growing towards the lights never heard of this before.. any pictures it would help alot??

I struggled with this in my change to hydro. What I'm doing now for seeds is germinating them in paper towels, moving them to jiffy pots with soil to get some mass and then I transfer them to the hydro setup. I successfully germinated a set of seeds in pea gravel using a dribbler setup but it's a patience robbing process making sure the seed is properly moistened and not jammed in the rocks so tight it won't open. It's easier to grow them a bit before putting them in the the hydro setup and they're easier to handle when they're bigger. You can put the tweezers away.
