Hi there i placed my bigger rockwool cubes in my ft system, the first stage went very well with them having there roots come out in smaller cubes before transporting them, its been ten days and they haven got any bigger? When I looked yest they all had roots but there siting flat on the spreading sheet, when i cut the squares for them to go into they slipped down, my question is in hydroponics do the bigger rockwool cubes need to be hanging above the spreading sheet?? Can theu stil survive?? Any ideas would be big help

If your water temp and O2 is right you can do about anything and they will survive. The cubes should be on top of the sheet. The roots will find there way down from there. if you find they are growing slow check that the cube has water in it and you are feeding. I run a top drip the 1st week just to make it happen, loosing a week sux.

Hey bro, your cubes need to be resting on the water channels, not level with the top plate which only serves to act as a light block to prevent algae growth from light penetration in the root system, let your block touch the channel,if your blocks are the same as grodan in the uk ,they should have straight channels cut in them, leave the wrapper around the sides and place so the channel are going with the flow of water to avoid water logging. I have a gt100 too, 4 plant max for a nice thick root mat. I hope that helped. Ooops! I just saw the date, sorry. At least you now know for future reference, good luck, good growing,4:20 ;-)
