i'm on ssdi for epilepsy, moved here to treat with mmj.

i'm also on food stamps, as 900/mo isn't enough. so, recently, i made a rather large ATM pull, the vast majority of which went to my dispensary. for whatever reason, social services thinks that's their business. they want a receipt. my gut tells me there's not a damn thing wrong with showing it, OTOH, considering the feds fund this and other "services" i'm hesitant to do so without knowing for sure.

for the record, i'm in Pueblo, and there really isn't much around here as far as legal-advisor type shit goes. AFAIK.

Blurb: I was in the middle of a brain fart when i wrote the post: referring to "fed funded services" i wasn't intending to refer to social services, but rather the local "middle man" group i'm dealing with, helping me with medicaid and medicare. So the thought goes, whatever info they have is in my "file" which is presumably used for both medicare and medicaid. (then again, i haven't signed anything hipaa related or similar yet... ugh.) Brain fart exists because i've never dealt with either medicare or medicaid directly, other than getting mail from them.

That said, i said screw it, noted the expense on my bank statement, and basically let them know that though i don't have a receipt, that if they wanted i could ask the dispensary for an equivalent. Nobody seemed to care, so i guess all is good.
