Hey i'm a new member from wallinford ct. On impulse I planted some seeds out of some weed I had in one of my stepmom's plants a few days ago. One started growing its about 3 inches high already. I'm going to transplant it into its own pot soon. I dont plan on doing anything special to it accept watering it regularly and leaving it by a window. Is there any danger in digging up a plant so young and re-planting it? Also, how often should I water it?

Good luck. I just tried the same sort of thing 2 weeks ago and tonight as I look at it, Im pretty sure its dead.

But Im basically an idiot so Im sure youll have better success than me :)

I guess either too little sunlight or too much water was my problem

Im pretty stupid myself..the funny thing is my stepmom waters her plant where the weed plant is so I dont even have to worry about it haha

Dude first of all why dont u just look on the internet and find some basic grow info. Secondly by you cant sucessfully grow a plant to significant size, just by placing it in the window sill. As far as i can tell the final yeild of your plant in ounces would be .00000001 because you have not the slightest idea how to grow a plant.

i did the same sort of thing as you a few years ago. It takes absolutely ages to grow cos of the lack of intense sunlight. Took me five months to get a bushy three foot tall plant, but it was still no where near flowering. Then i moved house and my parents wouldnt let me transport it in the car(obvious reasons i suppose) so it went on the compost heap!
Just see what happens mate. water it when the soil gets properly dry as Mj is used to pretty dry climates with a big downpoor every so often. (look at Morrocco)
