2 Petitions are being delivered August 2, printing on Aug 1st.
Imagine our surprise when the Governorâ??s Office granted a meeting!

August 2, 2012, FL CAN President Cathy Jordan and Executive Director Jodi James are meeting with the Governorâ??s Chief Advisor on Policy and Budget. We are putting together a persuasive pitch for removing criminal sanctions against patients using cannabis.

This is a great first step! The way to build the relationship we need with the Governorâ??s Office is to come in armed with good data, human interest stories and tens of thousands of signatures from the good people of Florida!

We cannot get too many signatures. Send it to your friends. Post it on facebook, Twitter, Etc. Get the word out! Sign the Petitions:

I don't have time to write a fancy plea reminding you to sign our petition asking Governor Scott for amnesty for patients. We have been telling you about our scheduled meeting with the Office of the Governor on Thursday.
If I had the time to call every connector I know, I would do it.
During the campaign, then candidate Scott told an FL CAN supporter that he wasn't opposed to medical marijuana and would do what the voters wanted on this issue. The 4000 signatures on our petition represent the most actions FL CAN has ever seen on a single item. Unfortunately, we have an appointment with the Governor's office in less than 24 hours and like it or not, it looks like only 4000 people support making an exception for patients.
Florida Cannabis Action Network is here to support the people of Florida seeking practical reforms. Right now, we need your voice, in the form of a signature, to support us.
If you don't sign the petition today and take the time to personally work your network of friends until you are confident everyone who you know has signed, then we will have wasted the single best opportunity we've had for real reform in over 10 years.
Can you afford not to support the petition?
Sign the petition here (http://salsa3.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=IsvCWXW6H9zQMzXWHw4FiHliuzxwCXqb)
Thank you for your continued support,
Jodi James, Executive Director
PS. While you are getting your friends to sign the petition and promoting it among your social networks, our staff is putting together an incredible persuasion paper detailing the need to change cannabis laws in Florida. We need your help to spread the word.
