Suggestions On Starting Up?

before with cfl's - resulted in very dank but low yield.

Now for approx 250-350 I can get:
36" Wide x 20" Deep x 60" -> High Mylar Grow Tent
600W HPS & MS Light, Ballast, Reflector
Soil
Pots
seeds

Would that be suitable for a decent grow? Odd's of a yield of at leasssstttttt 3oz?

I would personally get at least a 3x3 tent (maybe 4x4) for that 600. You also got to keep in mind that that light puts out a lot of heat so how are you planning on cooling it? Are you gonna use an enclosed hood? Inline fan? AC?

Would a washroom exhaust fan be enough?
Would you recommend a 6" inline fan? HOw much should that go for price wise? (Is $100 reasonable?)

I cant recommend an inline fan cause my area is open with an ac so i dont use them. Im sure someone will pop on here and give you a good recommendation.

my setup (4x8x7.5) 600W HPS was only $400 bought the tent on ebay for $169 Light was purchased localy because I went for the 5 year warranty I could have saved another $75 if I went with 1 year. 600W in 4x8x7.5 with just a gull wing reflector works fine no heat issue.

So you don't have any exhaust fans?

Do you have an oscillating fan inside?

How are your temps?

what type of "room" ? Mylar?
