Hello Guys,
I have a 6 plant 5 gal bubbleflow bucket setup under a 600 hps light in a grow tent. I am using the Technaflora Recipe for success kit. I have maybe another week of Vegging to do until I Switch to Flowering. I am running out of nutes and I am going to resupply, But I dont Want to spring 100$ for a gallon of Sugardaddy. I will Still be using the BC Boost, grow, and bloom from technaflora. Also Magical, and Awesome Blossom.
I have two questions. First I normally use thrive alive B-1 Red for my nutes as required by the Recipe for success Charrt. But i have run out. I have a ton of Thrive alive b-1 green, but I only see it used as foilar spray, not to be put in the nute mix at all. Can i substitue the green for the red? Do I Really Need to continue with the B-1 Vitamins? My plants are in full growth mode, about 1200 PPM. Like I said i will be switching to flowering within a week. How important is it? Any alternatives? Can I stop using b-1 nutes now?
Second Question: I have been using sugar daddy as a sweetener. Now this is 100$ for a gallon, and I feel this is alot of money for my first time grow, but i feel i really want a sweetener. Can I switch to another sweetener from a different brand? What is the best deal? What are the best sweeteners keeping cost in mind?
Any Help is Greatly Appreciated.

You can flower with grow nutes just a quality difference. You need the vitamins. so yes keep on them.
If you use molasses in the mix that will do the sweetening. 1 teaspoon per gallon.
1200 ppm sounds pretty low to me. but im not there.

In my opinion I don't think you'll notice any difference just using only the boost, grow and bloom.
Do your buds taste sour without a sweetener?

First Grow..... Looking to have a good first grow. I have also been using sugar Daddy the whole way through.... So I thought It would be wise to stick with it.

I'm using the recipe for success also. Use Botnicare sweet in what ever flavor you like. Using sweet original berry now . I liked the sugardaddy but the cost per gallon drove me to the sweet and you use at the same rate so very cost effective.+
Red and green thrive alive is only regular and organic. So either is good.
This recipe and bushmasters the first week you turn to 12/12 then gravity from week 4 to the end at a loww dose is killing it on some northern lights for me. I will not change untill I can afford the topp self stuff some day.

What are the Prices on Botincare Sweet? Sounds like a good Idea. Will look into it, thank you.

So this means if i run out of red, i can put the green Thrive alive in for a substitute?

it looks like you are trying to throw the battleship at this grow(your first?)if you intend to do this for any length of time, you got to read a lot more,go on you tube,go to seed sites....this is my second year,i'm still learning...the most important lesson i learned, you don't have to spend a vast amount of money on chemicals....also the more you add,the more you have to remove....

Sugar daddy as you said about 100 bucks and sweet about 50 and I see the same results with flavor if you want it.
Red or Green is all good just organic or regular.
If you are first starting then you may want to keep it simple. The more things in the stew the more things to go wrong.
That being said. Check this site out

I only use bushmaster and gravity now I wil try the other 2 later when I can afford it.
Bushmasters makes the plant go right to maturity and skips the week or two of stretching. Very important inside.
Gravity is like viagra for plants if used right.

I am also still learning (I have a suspicion that the learning never stops) and in my third year and I have come to this conclusion as well. I have a friend who uses every additive, boost and wonder potion in a manufacturers range. His weed is no better than mine.

Exactly Bro! THEY don't need a ton-o-crap; just some good basic "Potion" and consistent attention; esp. control of Pesties! I like "Humboldt Nutrients" myself!

Low doses (tsp/gal or less) of molasses will get you most of the benefit of most sweeteners for a lot less. The carbs aren't for the plant anyway, they are for the microbuddies that live in and around the roots.
If you want sweet buds, grow sweet tasting weed. You don't grow bell peppers if you want thai dragons.
